Default Tanabe conjcept g...

I just got a Tanabe cat-back exhaust installed in my tC... It looks great and sound was awesome!!! Deep tone, very quiet under 2000RPM. It is just wonderful..

By the way I have one question regarding this exhaust.
I think there's some kinda loose on the connection point between Tanabe pipe and stock pipe.. There is a kinda grommet at the end of stock pipe that is fixed in the center of round opening and it fits in the Tanabe pipe, but I feel a little imperfect connection though..
After the installation, I gased upto 3000RPM and I didn't noticed any leakage sound, but still I'm a little worried about the leakage in the future.
Anyone who have installed Tanabe concept g and experienced same thing?
I wonder if you guys used additional gasket or something in order to make a very tight conntection.
Please advise me what I should do on this.. Thanks in advance!! ^^

I thought the Concept G's for the TC's were axel-backs?

Sorry it is axl back...
Here is the picture that I tried to explain in the above.

The left hand side of pipe is Tanabe and right one is a existing stock one.
Is it normal? or do I need to fix it??

hopefully you did this install yourself, cause this was like the easiest thing to do by far.....anyway, those are the spring loaded bolts....if you feel like it doesn't look right, take a torque wrench tighten it down well...usually if you had tightened it decently, you wouldn't get a leak....congrats on this exhaust, you definetly are going to enjoy it!

as long as it's not leaking now, it's unlikely to leak in the future (unless it's caused by corrosion, but that's not the issue). By the way, can we see how it looks on your car?

I hope it sounds great, and not as loud as the tsudo I have now. Getting tanabe soon. Cause I want the nice growl but not a constant deep killing my ears growl as I put a slight pressure on the gas. under 93db kinda sells to me, for inspection.

Yeah mine does that too... it sucks that it doesnt fit flushly like the stock exhaust. I think my GReddy SP2 did that as well. It'll be fine though. As long as that gasket is there there should be no leaks.
