Hey everyone,
I've been doing a lot of searching, both here and on the net, on how to tap the fuel supply line on the TC to install fuel pressure gauges. Best thread I saw was one about installin NOS (author was WeDriveScions). He ended up just ishcanning the stock one and using fuel line he got from a race shop. Haven't been able to find out what he used for fuel line, does anyone know what diameter the hose needs to be? 3/8" maybe? You can get the adapters for the gauge and fuel line from Jegs, just need to know what size...Thanks!

Well, so far all I've found is that, according to TRD's supercharger install, and other maintenance ources, you need a special tool to even get the hose off without braking it. It's a little two-piece adapter standard in a Toyota tech's tool box...I know, not much help to me either. I am amazed that between S/L, Google, and Yahoo searches, nobody seems to be doing anything to the fuel line. I ran into this problem when I wanted to just replace the stock rail with a nic one, and tap the rail itself for the fuel press. gauge. Most rails com with a 1/8' port. No joy. Perrin makes some nice ones for xB, but no love for TC's.

I don't like the idea of splicing into the stock line since it's hard nylon. The fuel clamps won't seal properly and who wants a leaky fuel line under the hood of their mechanical porn?! I'll keep looking, but any advice would be appreciated: I'm thinking still about just replacing the line itself and tapping it...
