Default I bid a farewell scionlife and tC owners!! VW is calling me

Well I must say I am very pleased with how well my tC held up in 42,000 miles, but I just felt that I needed more power, and since trying to go F/I failed, I am just going to move onto the new MKV GTI. I pick it up tomorrow, so this will be my last thread. I must say this is probably the best car thread on the internet period, and the tC is an excellent car, but like I said, I just wanted something more. So a 2.0 Liter turbo, 6 spd, HID headlamps machine will do me just fine for now. I hope all have excellent luck with their cars in the future, and drive safe!! Thanks for the help over the last 2.5 years as well!!

Yep, get your troubleshooting skills sharpened up for when that warranty is over :D

But, hey, get what you like and enjoy it. Good luck and take care.

My money goes to the Mazdaspeed 3 for that category...63 extra horses and 73 lb-ft of torque...and none of the evil aforementioned German gremlins...

But hopefully you'll have more fun with that than you did the tC.

well luckily the warranty is 50,000 miles, but I have friends with MKIV's and they for the most part have had zero problems, other than ones caused by them, or big mods which is expected. But Im not too worried about it, becaues I enjoy working on cars(as long as it's not too often or expensive), but Im sure it'll hold up just fine. And engifineer, I'll send you those LED's for the H/U whenever I get them, thanks again.

Yeah, I just had to give ya a hard time

If ya need any led stuff or work for the new ride, lemme know, it may be nice to tear into another type of dash for a change

Have fun!

Before you make the switch, you may want to pick one of these up:

I've seen two VWs go up in flames on the freeway in the past year.

I went and test drove one on Sunday and dug it. Not getting rid of the tC though - just looking for a new daily driver. The Audi is more car than I need right now although I do love it.

Probably wont go for the trade anytime soon, though.

i've owned 3 watercooled VWs. sometimes i think about going back, but i dont want to deal with the unrealiability. i absolutely love the VW scene and its aftermarket support. i can tell Scion is trying to replicate that same sense of brand pride and loyalty. i would never buy a new VW, as the value drops tremendously after 2-3 years (probably because thats when the problems start showing up LOL).

VeeDub - representing Deutchland!
UnPimp the tC!
Good luck - I think you'll need it based on what friends have gone through.
