bad gas mileage? could this possibly solve the problem?
I have about 3000 miles on my car. Since the break in, I've noticed some improvement in gas mileage, but nothing too noticeable. My driving ratio with city and highway is about 60/40 relatively. I don't drive hard, with the exception of full throttle every once in awhile.
When I reach the first point mark on the gas, i average about 100 miles. The halfway mark I average about 220. I've noticed that the gas level tends to fluctuate a bit from half way down. I fill up when I reach near the lowest bar (the line above empty) and I'd say I'm at around 290 - 310. With that being said, I'd say the TC's in general gets pretty good gas mileage.
I've read in a thread about how people are doing with their mpg's, and some are saying that they are getting HORRIBLE gas mileage, like, in the 19 mpg range. I know it varies with different factors involved. But anyhow, this is what I'm looking at here:

*It's called Turbo-Mag. Basically it's an industrial strength magnet type of unit that wraps over the fuel line to stabilize the gas molecules, creating a better combustion, better this and that. Here's what it claims to do:

Untreated Fuel molecules tend to “clump” together due to attraction between molecules with charges of opposite polarities. This causes an inefficient burn. As a result, your engine experiences loss of power, lower gas mileage and lots of carbon build-up. Turbomag’s powerful magnetic field causes these “clumps” of fuel molecules to be charged with a single polarity, thus they repel each other making the fuel disperse more efficiently causing more complete combustion and power production. Turbomag will actually remove the existing carbon build-up in your engine - this usually takes an average of 3 tanks full of gas, followed by a dramatic increase in gas mileage and horsepower.
>>> I know this looks like one of those gimic, too good to be true product, which most likely is. But, it was like 8 bucks, which was about the amount i had left over in my paypal. So, i bought one (don't say it). I'll let you know how it goes, but first off, what do you guys think? A noble idea? or 'take that money and buy yourself some food'?

The only thing you can do is keep your air filter clean, keep it around 3K in each gear, use 87 for best combustability and take it easy with no heavy braking. That will save you a lot of gas.
To be nicer about it... that is the biggest myth ever. The shop in my family sees a suprising number of cars come in for work with stuff like that on them. My dad just lets it be and doesnt even try to convince them anymore
In other words, it will do nothing.
