so i have a polar white XA and have come to a fork in the road on color of rims, so i thought why not see what every body else thinks. i want either white or black rims.

black would look so much better but the key to it all is you have to have a chrome lip on the wheel or your nothin :twisted: but yeah black wheels with a chrome lip would be bad as hell!!!!!!!!!!

I agree a darker color rim would look excellent. I'd opt for a bronze though, over black or gunmetal, just because it seems like not many people have that color rim. I think it goes well with a white car. However, you just can't really go wrong with a nice set of gunmetal rims with a polished lip.

I also agree with a black or gunmetal wheel with a polished or chrome lip!

Not trying to sell anything here. I think the wheel below would look good on a xA. You can get it in a 15" & 17". The 15" weighs 13.2Lbs & the 17" is 15.5Lbs. The 15s run @ $119 @ the 17s @ $155. if you would want to look into them they are from www.edgeracing.com

The part thats not painted on the lip is either chrome on that or just polished, either way it shines.

I'm getting the gunmetal 18" TRD rims that come as a factory option next week.

Can the lip be polished after it's been manufactured (like a chrome dip for your grill, for example) or does the rim have to come from the factory like that?

Yeah, and I want some thin white walls, too. I saw some on a Fab and they look tight. But that xA was black with sick-___ black rims. I don't know how the white walls would look on a Dark Cherry.

Although maybe it should be a chrome/polished lip OR white walls? Together they might be a little much or cancel each other out?

I think you could get the lip polished, they should just sand it down to the rim & shine it up. Chrome would cost a lot to do just on the lip. Also im no pro at this so maybe someone else could chime in & inform us both. I would think my polish idea would work, also they would need to clear coat it to keep it looking like that.
