Chevy Aveo beats tC in crash ratings
Is Small Safe?
A new report from the IIHS shows a wide disparity in safety among the popular new crop of fuel-efficient minicars.

It's a sad day when a POS Chevy Aveo can earn better ratings over a tC, xB and Yaris.

Just b/c a car is "POS" doesnt mean it's not safe. Even ppl driving the cheapest cars on the road deserve to be safe to a certain extent!

I had a gnarly accident in my tC. A drunk driver clipped my rear end (I was going 85), I spun and hit a guard rail at what I estimate to be 50 mph, I hit it so hard that I bounced across two lanes to the side of the road I originally started out on. I sustained no injuries.
....naw my friends Aveo got backed up into...by a small SUV going about 10? It smashed in the entire left side...Aveo=not safe Golf cart=safer than Aveo.... tC= so damn safe....Ive seen tC in some serious wrecks and it held its own....
^^ BWAH HAHAHAHAHA. Aveo = gag. tC = sex. Which would you rather have? Besides doesn't the tC have 5 star on front crash? I think it has 4 star on side without airbags, but 5 with them ... I THINK. It may be reversed, so really, there's not much difference.
ehh... we have a lot more mass, but comparatively, we're still hopeless against soccer mom SUVs and the such.
My tip: pass SUVs and other traditionally dangerous vehicles (with dangerous drivers) as quickly and safely as you can.

Honestly, it appears that the 2007 Aveo has pretty good crash test ratings. The past models were considerably worse though.
