Is it possible to "unbid" on ebay if you're the only bidder? I just don't want the springs anymore and there's still 6 days left. Anyone know how?

Anyone know how? ScionXBrent 02-05-2007, 11:25 PM Well... there's 6 days left... If the seller doesn't like the price at which it is at now, he can do what it seems like EVERYONE's doing these days when they aren't going to get the price they want and make a fake account to bump the price so they can re-sell it again. Otherwise if you win it, and don't pay, you can have your account suspended and/or your buyer rating will go to sh**. iyzmi 02-05-2007, 11:29 PM Well... there's 6 days left... Damn, I thought I was the only one clever enough to do such a thing. :P  web 02-05-2007, 11:48 PM But, there is no way to actually unbid? There is no reserve on the springs so whatever I put down will go. I have a 35$ bid (25$ shipping) but don't want them anymore. I want the Eibachs now...... :( Iride_xB04 02-05-2007, 11:51 PM nope, eBay's rules say that once you place a bid you create a contract between you and the seller. If you don't pay you'll recieve a strike, and three strikes against your account for not paying will cause the suspension of your account web 02-05-2007, 11:58 PM Well, can the seller boot me off the bid? I know him...he's the admin to the site I am a Mod of. Maybe he can just kick me off the bidding or something? Iride_xB04 02-06-2007, 12:12 AM idk ive never asked or tried, im sure if you contacted him you two could work something out web 02-06-2007, 12:28 AM Yeah, thanks all. I'm in the midst of PMing him so we'll see. ScionXBrent 02-06-2007, 12:33 AM If you know him, why are you bidding on it? web 02-06-2007, 12:52 AM B/c he's putting the parts that he's got on the Shop tab on the site online to get rid of them for more inventory. I just put a bid in b/c I wanted to get them but I've changed my mind. iheartzombies 02-06-2007, 12:56 AM Just create a fake account and bid higher and win. Then let the fake account get suspended. Iride_xB04 02-06-2007, 01:23 AM Just create a fake account and bid higher and win. Then let the fake account get suspended. hahaha dont get caught doing that, it's a serious offense im pretty there legal action involved with that iheartzombies 02-06-2007, 01:26 AM Well if the sellers are doing it... riboflavin 02-06-2007, 08:08 AM contact seller, seller can cancel any bids anytime amanda776 02-06-2007, 08:23 AM Or you can cross your fingers and hope that someone outbids you. nauticac 02-06-2007, 12:29 PM If you email the seller he can cancel your bid by going through the bid history. I've had to do it before as a seller. It's up to him though to decide if he wants to cancel it. web 02-06-2007, 01:17 PM Thanks everyone for your help :) MODS, you can lock or delete this thread....thanks Iride_xB04 02-06-2007, 07:55 PM contact seller, seller can cancel any bids anytime yea thats true, just contact him Iride_xB04 02-06-2007, 07:58 PM Well if the sellers are doing it... still illegal, and its probably more serious because its a way to finagle more money burstaneurysm 02-06-2007, 09:23 PM Check this out: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/questions/retract-bid.html You'd be best contacting the seller. |
