KSport coilovers and camber plates? Also alignment question
I was thinking of getting the ksport coilovers, but I was wondering if the came with or required camber plates?
Now, IIRC you only need camber plates if you drop > 2" right? so if I go with around a 2" drop and I can get aligned to spec, I should be good?
Alignment question:
I normally use a Firestone near my house for all my alignments (they've been really good in the past) and I get the lifetime alignment for like $150 (with the G35c, we got the tires aligned with every oil change because they were unidirectionals and couldn't be rotated and the tires were $$$).
Have any of you had any problems with getting a modified car aligned and using a deal like this? Or do they normally throw their hands up and say "we'll try but no guarantees!"

If you lived in San Diego, CA then I would recommend BeeLine Alignment $59.95. You shouldn't spend much more then this. If the shop is a new building or a rip off shop it will be more. Find a company that has been open for a good amount of years.
When you first install the Coilovers it will change the stock alignment by a lot, a little or just in the middle. But definitely get a 4 wheel alignment.
You shouldn't have a problem at all as long as the shop is ASE Certified.
I got mine aligned 1 week after the install. Get it done sooner if you can.

a 2" drop doesnt necessarily mean you need camber adjustment. my 2.4" front 2.0" rear drop on stech's didnt need any aftermarket camber adjustment items to get back to stock specs.
A 2" drop will cause negative camber and will be different from the manufacturer's specifications.
My car was dropped on Teins didn't like them switched to SPRINT, then went with K-Sport. The Teins and SPRINT both caused a negative camber in the fron and rear. The negative camber can be fixed in the rear since it's adjustable , but the stock front is different story. With K-sport you have plenty of adjustment room for camber in the Front.
The car might look ok, but take it in and it's a whole different story when you see how the numbers are off. I thought the same thing with my Teins and SPRINT, until I decided to take it to an alignment shop. It seemed my car drove nice when it was lowered, but when I got everything aligned it drove much better.
It's your call, since it's your car. Me knowing that my car was looked at and aligned by a professional makes me feel better too.

Well I talked to Firestone (a shop we've trusted for about 5 years) and they've got their lifetime alignment on sale, $129.
Basically, bring your car in whenever you want (within reason) and they'll align it.
I don't know if this includes altered suspension (but I guess I should ask).
