Default Best intake filter?

I have a SRI that needs a new filter. I've heard great things about Fujita and K&N. Which one is better? I'm open to other brands suggested.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the Fujita F5 air filter. Runs about $40.

What's wrong with your current filter? Most of those should last quite a while if you clean them properly.

The filter I have is from an eBay SRI. It's those foam filters, and I've been told that those only last a couple months.

AEM has an easy maintainence Dry Flow filter that never needs oil, just clean, dry, and re-install. I have it on mine

DO NOT GET K&N Air Filters!!!!!!!! They say they have excellent air filters and they do provide great airflow, but with all that airflow you've got to be sacrificing something, and what do you think that is? Well its filtration, it sucks up all that air and debris and gets thrown down into the block and valves and causes boreing (little holes and imperfections) thus cutting the life of your engine short. Also they say that the filter has to be OILED , well common sense can tell you that oil atracts things, and what should somebody be worried about when dealing with air filters..........hmm i wonder, so ironically you're attracting dirt to you filter by using the recharging system that you "HAVE" to buy from them. So what sense does it make to pay big bucks for something that isn't going to work and when you clean it all your doing is letting it get dirty all over again. take it for what its worth

The K&N filter of oiled cloth mesh offers higher air flow and less restriction than paper filters. They filter better as dirt accumulates in the mesh, but this eventually reduces airflow, so that after 50,000 miles they need to be washed and re-oiled.
The oil is a special red liquid that is sprayed and dries to a wax. It is easy to use too much or not let it dry, in which case the oil can be drawn onto the air flow sensor and cause a trouble code. I have used K&N filters in older cars and motorcycles, but for my xB, I am going to stick with the paper filter.

I appreciate everyones input. Does anyone have anything to say about the Fujita F5 air filter? I think I might go with that one. A friend of mine uses that and he swears by it.

That's what I personally have on my short ram (it's a Fujita pipe, imagine that!) I haven't had it on long enough to really form an opinion of the filter.
