I've noticed with certain wheels, that they offer the wheel with different disc types. For instance, some Advan wheels (I'm assuming multi-piece) are available in Hi, Low, ect. disc type. What exactly is a disc type? What are the differences between the different types?

Disc type refers to how much lip the wheel will have. High disc will have a thicker backpad and a smaller lip. Low disc will have a thinner backpad and a deeper lip. Since the Scions have drum brakes in the rear, you can run a super low disc set-up in the back as the rear does not require much clearance for the brake caliper (as there is none). This way you can run the same size wheel in the front and back, let's say 17×7.5, but the rears will have a deeper lip to give it a more aggressive staggered fitment look.

If you check out the low offset TE-73s or the FNR01C you'll see that the spokes sink in towards the center of the wheel depending on youru offset/disk... so you get a deeper spoke instead of a deeper lip.

I think I'd sleep with these wheels if I could
