Just curious here. Who doesn't hate the new xB? I think it's the best thing since sliced bread! woo hoo! new xB you rock!
I can't wait to see which one I get!
I am thinking maybe white, maybe release series, who knows!
I am pretty sure I want the NAV, and I would like some sweet wheels. What do you think about 20's on here? Did they make it big enough to fit 20's and springs without any rubbing?
I really dig the standard VSC and side airbags. When they first started talking about this they asked how muich they should charge for the optional package on it! I cringed! I wanted to keep mono spec on the car and kept begging my rep to fight for standard equipment. HOpefully that doesn't make it too expensive.
I am stoked! I have an auto right now b/c my wife wanted to be able to drive it. Now that I bought her an xA, I'll be able to buy my manual tranny!
think of all the possibilities! I can do LSD, supercharger, CAI and exhaust and headers that ACTUALLY make a noticable difference! I will mourn the loss of TCM, but I think I am tired of that color anyway. Speaking of colors, that teal color looks kind of scary. I think it may be my new Azure Pearl (Least favorite color on a Scion)
I LOVE IT!
WHO'S COMING WITH ME?! (sorry for the jerry maguire ref. there, lol)

I love the new xB. I will defintely replace my current box with a new one when the time comes. No current plans to replace mine, cuz I still have things I want to do to it. But, in a few years, I will touring the courty in the new version!!

OK, so check it out. I know its only a matter of time until all the haters jump on here and ruin this thread too.
Scion, i want to thank you for allowing me the chance to get my grubby lil hands no one of these new xBs. I can hardly wait. I think your color choices leave something to be desired, but with a little scratch that too can be changed.
I have so much in mind as to what im going to get done to this new box, my only hope is that i can find shops that can get it done in a timely and professonal manner. I dont want to give out too much rights now, but im really stoked that Scion will offer such goodies like TVs in the head rests ... possible NAV with a set up pre-wired for additional amps. And hows about that engine .... ohhhh the possibilities. Off hand i can think of at least 3 different manufactors who make eigher a turbo or SC .... with at least one more possible due out later this year.
For the first time since i laid out my deposit im excited. So many plans, so many different avenues ... so many options. Thanks again Scion.

I love the new B. I hesitate refering to it as a box, but I love it none the less, and can't wait to see it in person and drive it. Don't know if I'll buy one or not, my current ride is about 2.5 years from being paid off, and the idea of owning a vehicle w/o payments is a strong strong attraction. But who knows, if they release a fantastic RS, I may not be able to resist the urge.

I don't hate it. As someone pointed out in another thread, the xD seems like the replacement for current xA and xB owners. The new xB is a different animal. Direct competition for larger wagons/crossovers - Element, HHR, PT Cruiser, Mazda 3 wagon, etc. So I wouldn't expect many current xB owners to love it.
The only thing I don't like are the extra large C pillars. One of the things that's great about the current xB is all the glass and visibility.

I don't hate them either, they are both very nice cars,
but I do think the xB name should be retired and
called something else, and the xD should take over the
xA name

I don't hate it! Before I did, but more pics I saw, I loved it. I think they shouldn't of used a cheap material on the steering wheel cuz it does look cheap. I'm not gonna trade my box in for it, but down the road I'm going to get one. Probably in NBM or a Release Series color.

i actually really like it! I do want to get one but I'm waiting for the pricing to be announced, which it already looks like I may not get one cuz the 5-Axis xB looks to be at least 18-20K, which a lot of people may not want to pay for and may be too much for some of the younger crowd who dont make a whole lot of $...but I do want one!

I love it. It looks like the next generation xb with this picture from an earlier post:
My only concern is the mpg. It would be nice if it can get 26/29 mpg

I like it better then the old xB. I am going to buy either the teal or the first RS. My current Toyota is running great at 120k miles but I think its time to change it out.
Toyota means high quality. Another reason to get a scion.

I kind of like the look, and love the features the new one will come with, save for one thing... that damn 2.4L.
The only reason I would buy a xB2 is for gas mileage, and it doesn't look like it's gonna do any better than a CR-V/Element in that respect.
Maybe a xD with that Corolla 1.8 will do for me.

I like the new xB, but not as a replacement. I have the 1st xB and have no plans of trading it in. as for the xB2 I think it should have been named something else, because it is no box. some of the personality of the 1st is that it was boxy and small.Where the xB2 is bigger and curved so I'm not gonna hate by saying I don't like it, because I do, just I don't like it for the xB replacement.

It will get loads better milage than an Element. The camry, heavier and with the same motor as the xB2 gets better milage than an Element, which gets about the same as a V6 Tacoma.

liked the xd, if i had to get rid of the my 2nd xb i'd get an xd. but as i keep looking at the the new xb (sober now, not like in miami) i'd definitely get the new xb if i can get rid of one of my 1st gen xb's. i think these will actually look nice running 18 or 19's and are my eyes correct is it now 5 bolt? now i can run some nice vienna's.

Wait until you get your hands on this car. I can't fully explain this, but the effect of the pics is to make it look dull. This car is NOT dull. It is just friggin awesome to behold. I can not wait to have them in the showroom.

i love the new "xB" if i didnt love my box so much i'd run out and get one, the day they are available. My only gripe is the name, xB should be retired just the xA has been. Just my .02

Okay, yeah, like the car. Ain't tradin' mine in on one, but I'm going to sell a ton of 'em.
FUEL ECONOMY: 2007 Camry with 2.4L 158 hp engine weighing 3,307 lbs is rated at 33 mpg highway. There is NO WAY this new xB will weigh even close to that.
My prediction, 35mpg highway on the xB2.

My guess... 23/30 with the automatic and 22/29 for the manual. Look at the tC. the tC has the same engine as the Camry, weighs 400 pounds less and doesn't have as good of mileage. That's due to gearing and I'll be the new xB is more like the tC than the Camry.

I like it and might get one eventually depending on the pricing. If its like $18k for just a base model with manual, I'll take my money elsewhere...

I too like the new xb, the more I see it the more it grows. i am so happy bout the 2.4, there is so much u can add and the power is way better than 1st gen. I hope there will be a power moonroof, much needed. Interior, to me is wonderful, kinda wish the seats from 1st gen, were put in them. the seats look kinda wimp, overall I can dig it.

Anyone have the info on fuel tank size, hope it is at least 18 gallons, if it is I AM THERE. In my daily commuts, I spend for gas like I own a V-8, tank too small-plus I own a heavy foot.

its okay, i mean i dont hate it, and i dont love it, i dont think they should have called it a xb, should have been a different modeled car name, cause when you think of xb you think of a box not a box with fender flares, and a rounded front.

tC tank is 14.5, Camry tank is 18.5

I like the new xb a lot. I am most likely going to get one and then i will have both first and second gen both in BSP. I will let my girl drive the first gen since i wanna keep low miles on it and she only drives 3 miles a day and i drive like 60.

Its good to see the positive here, and i can only hope it contiues.
Fuel ecomony ... whos to say. At this point its all speculation, much like the price and what options will be allowed. IMO i dont think Scion woud produce a gas guzzler with fuel in the states hitting as high as $3.50 a gallon. Trying to make a car for the common man, woman or college kid wouldnt make sense if it got 20 MPG.
Keeping them on the showroom floor may be a bit more difficult. Once buyers actually see the car and sit in it, it will be hard to get them out of it.

...but I would like Toyota to offer two improvements:
1) Offer white on black gauges as an option. The current red on black gauges could be unreadable in daylight if you're wearing sunglasses.
2) Offer as an extra-cost option a 5AT automatic or modified i-CVT automatic. Either would definitely help improve acceleration and freeway fuel efficiency. :)

oh and it has electronic power steering. Interesting.
