Hey i was just wondering if anyone had taken their cat of and replaced it with a Test Pipe yet, or maybe you installed a Hi-Flow Cat. Either way plz let me know what you think of the results.

Also, I have the DC Sports Header and Exhaust, i wanted to know if there was any way i could beef up my exhaust without compromising what little power gainsi have....maybe make it into a straight 3 inch.

Replys plz....need feedback

someone here on the forums put a custom cat-back in their xA during the summer, do a search.... in my opinion it sounded terrible since it sounded WAY too loud for a small car like ours

from what i have seen on the dyno.. your setup is fine for NA application. I'm willing to bet if u get rid of the cat, or increase the pipeing diameter any more, that you will loose power and torque.
Just 2 weeks ago i witnessed this. An xB with lightweight crank pulley, intake, header, and full custom exhaust with high-flow cat put down 2 less hp then a stock xB dyno'd just an hour earlier. I also saw a tC with a full Megan race exhaust (no cat) and intake put down 15 less hp then a stock tC dyno'd the same day. And the torque curve was all jacked up. (Sorry Ken if u read this, ). Unless u run boost, be carful with exhaust upgrades.

Toyota has more $ than any aftermarket exhaust company, and their engineers know what they are doing. my 2 cents

i want to make an update/correction on a post. .......
The Tc i just mentioned with the full exhaust just got re-dyno'd on the same dyno (dyno was acting funny that day) and put down 144whp 130 was stock. the xB info is still accurate though.

I recomend not removing the cat as well, the first system that we made was for someone that wanted no cat and he ended losing HP and his gas milage went in the crapper. The VVTI tries to over compensate for the no cat and the check engine light comes on.
