I had Scion Security installed in my xB and in the manual it says it can be installed with a buzzer (beeps when you lock and unlock the vehicle) but the dealer didn't know anything about it. Can it? Is it a setting that can be adjusted? I also would like to find out if you can get color key fobs for the xB. A Scion rep from corporate told me yes and the dealer said no. Any feedback greatly appreciated! Thanks!

 

The pictures of the alarm on the scion site shows green, red or blue key fobs so I would think they come with the alarm. Are you sure they installed a scion alarm and not a Toyota alarm??

 

Yeah is there a way to make it beep when you lock it?

 

The color key fobs are only for xA, if I recall. There has been some talk about this stuff before so if you do a simple search you should find the answers you are looking for. I recall some ppl asking about the same thing & some said theres beeps & flashes while others say it does nothing. Depends on how smart your dealer is I guess.

My alarm didn't go off when I tapped the window with a key at first (as it says it should in the manuel) so I brought it back to the dealer and they said they adjusted the sensitivity (either that or it wasn't set up properly the first time). They don't know anything about the buzzer though!

 

I contacted Scion and they told me that a buzzer isn't a option with the Scion Security and that it was a misprint in the manual. Other people said theirs came equipped with one. Can anyone clear this up for me? :?
