View Full Version : Who else creams their pants when they see the 300 trailers. seattledave 02-16-2007, 10:37 PM I have to see this the day it comes out. scionofPCFL 02-16-2007, 11:52 PM This is not a rental, must see on the big screen. chrischoi 02-16-2007, 11:55 PM i wanna see it too. seattledave 02-17-2007, 01:00 AM This is not a rental, must see on the big screen. definitley agree, and while I've been to the theatre a lot since, I can't say I've said that since...maybe sin city? or ugh, maybe the last star wars. (sorry, you'll find no love of lotr here. I like to watch whole movies, not parts of them. imo, the 15+ hours of trolls and wizards should have been 2. for the enitre "trilogy".) DragonR 02-17-2007, 07:05 PM just found out the other day that they are releasing it in IMAX..... *drool*..... Ryz0n 02-17-2007, 09:36 PM lol! imax ohhhhh sh*t etli 02-23-2007, 01:18 AM Why don't those guys wear armor? I know it's hot in Greece and stuff but you've got a lot of important things going on in your torso. You know; heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, spinal column, etc. It seems kind of crazy to not wear wear any armor aside from the leg pieces and the helmet. And apparantly a big-___ shield. Maybe it's just to show how badass the Spartans are. "We don't need no stinkin body armor!" seattledave 02-23-2007, 05:45 PM Why don't those guys wear armor? Maybe it's just to show how badass the Spartans are. "We don't need no stinkin body armor!" actually some of those guys in the movie are wearing MORE armor than they did "back in the day". if you're at hand to hand combat with big spears and swords, a full suit of armor isn't going to do much besides hinder you. a shield is just abuot all you want, because half the time the guy who strikes first wins, and the other half is you get one parlay and then someone dies. there's not alot of back and forth action going on, this wasn't fencing. & plus, what's more scary, guy running at you with a helmet, a sword and his balls hangin out running at you at full speed, or a fully armored guy running at you at less than half the speed. everything back then was bronze or iron, i.e. heavy and hot(ever touch metal after it's been sitting outside in 95 degree weather?). they only wore just the bare minimum to keep themselves mobile and protected. TheRealBen 04-24-2007, 03:05 AM I don't know why people got so excited over the previews, I thought they made the movie look cheesy. I did go see it on opening day because I wanted to see it, but I wasn't surprised that it was a great movie. |
