Default The (censored) in the Mustang GT

Well coming home last night from Import Motion I met a ***** in a Mustang GT. Going down 205 to Best Buy Shawn and I spotted this Mustang GT running laser and was like hey that’s cool...yea not. So driving north on 205 in the fast lane I’m tailgating this white Saturn and I look up and see a (censored) walking back to his car...the MustangGT ...****, so I slow down from the 70ish speed I was doing that I didn't think I was going that fast he gets next to me flips the cherries on and the pulls back and gets behind me...apparently I wasn’t changing lanes fast enough so he felt he needed to flip his siren on, bastard, so I get stopped...quickly.

He walks up and is like license, and why were you doing 72 in a 55? And yea long and short I get a 145 dollar ticket for speeding it was cool though it’s all printed out nice and such. So upon handing me the ticket, I didn’t quite have it in my hand, he let go of it so it just fell in the passenger seat. He walked away...I start to pull out and he CUTS me off. Does a burn out and goes and pulls this Benz over like a half mile up the road...

Okay that’s a big rant I’m still ____ed about it, but at the same time speeding in an xB is funny, but I guess I was doing 100ish on the way down south yesterday so I shouldn't be to irritated...why is it always when driving nice we get nailed?!

...bla anyone got any tips on getting out of this?

So you were speeding and got caught, then brag about doing 100???? Sounds like you were lucky to just get a small ticket.

No Sympathy... We get what we get when we know what we do... Every ticket I've recieved in my life... I deserved... Just the deal...

BUT, I know what you mean... it always seems like when we are doing something "Less" reckless, is when the heat comes down, or the accident happens... You never know.... Darn Fate.

That strip is a nasty place for the bacon... When I got my 74 in a 50 in a uphill thing (in the BOX), it was like, This thing actually goes that fast? LoL... good ol' criminal life... (I bet you're glad your tails weren't tinted then)

hahaahahhahaha No kidding Tim, I'll agree that I deserved it, it is what I get for having my head up my ___ and even KNOWING that he was there..

btw nice phrase as 'bacon' I personally had 'pig' where it now says '(censored)' due to ohcanada_00 PM'ing me requesting it be changed...glad to see a mod that feels the way I do about them.

Speaking of tails I gotta get on that tooo I will say that he didn't come directly at me he stayed in my blind spot for 10-15 seconds then got behind me...

LoL... I got respect for the guys out there... I guess "Pig" is a little more derogetory in my opinion too... but, it's always nice to give a lil' rebellion to the highway enforcers...

I guess it's always the rebellion against the "man" that drives us so wacky... but, on the other side, saves us daily... Respect and Frustration, we all have it about different things... whether it be lighting rules, speed rules, display rules, tint rules, etc... what tickets us, sometimes lamely, also saves us,or them too in some way...

frump.

Well said Tim, I will agree I have respect for them and never disrespect them but yet I do get annoyed when there are other people with much more issues than I have that they should be putting their time in on but life goes on.

Doesn't 15mph or more over the speed limit qualify you for a reckless driving ticket?

At least that is what I was threatened with a few years back whilst doing 40mph something on State Avenue in Marysville. It was a painful 25mph back then.

The cop also stuck his head in my Kia and told me my tint was too dark, my front tint just plain illegal and that I should go warn all the other delivery drivers that he was out there, just itching to give us tickets. How I drove away from that, without a ticket, I don't know. I've got good luck like that.

I got pulled over in my girlfriends tC yesterday for going 77 in a 55, her tails are tinted and the cop didnt even mention it, she was driving my car and had a few cops follow her too without any hassle. I don't think they are smart enough to noitce.

I agree with you Tim and Will. Guess there is always a love hate realtionship with the local 5.0. Specially for me since I have family that are cops so that makes it even more interesting. All you can do about now Will is laugh about it.

And Jenna, you got darn lucky 'cause I have heard rumors that anything 20 over is wreckless and then I also heard that in WA state that if you do over 80, it's considered a federal offense. Not sure if that is valid or not, i would have to go to the relatives and ask

Maybe I remember wrongly or it's a Marysville thing (if they can even do such a thing), about it being 15mph over. Whatever it was, the cop said he could of gave me the reckless ticket for it, lol.

Wow, someone doing 80mph over any set speed limit ought to have a non-lethal gun shot to the crotch, twice.

Cops don't make the laws, and they're just doing their jobs... although if you've got to be a cop, rolling in a Mustang is the way to do it.

Speeding... we all do it, and most of us get caught at one point or another. If they raise the speed limits, idiots like us just drive faster (can you say 85 in a 70, Montana folks).

Given, I still look down from time to time and notice the needle creeping past 80. Hell, I'm breaking the law every time I shift into 5th gear. Good thing I roll in an xA and not an STi.

But I'm glad they're out there, and I'm even more glad for the Escort 8500 x50 hanging off my windshield.

hey my last ticket in the box was 87 in a 70, got a ticket for it, but then got it dropped in court 'cause the cop didn't have his radar updated. Anyhow, he told me that it was a wreckless driving ticket, but he was dropping it down to only a speeding ticket so maybe since I was doing over 80 who knows.

Ya i know he was doing his job and i respecr him for that & of course i respect them for keeping me safe and the public safe, but then again there are way worse stuff occuring out there

WOW that got some great answers ...

Clif - Wow the only other person I know that rocks an x50...I have one but its in my dads benz right now but laser is turned off because of all the falses I get these days

As for Jenna and Shawn - the 40+ in a 25 is reckless because there are different levels of tickets for different roads...on the freeway 11-20mph is just speeding, 20+ over goes into other things that involve free rides and maybe a free nights stay on a cement floor...etc..

Yea I think its just the mood of the officer on if he's going to give you a ticket the 3 times I've been pulled for speeding I've gotten tickets but I deserved them I'm just glad I wasn't driving like a jackass and going faster than I was. As for luck I would say I'm lucky this is the 1st time in the xB I've been pulled ...now thinking about it pulling off the freeway I shoulda gotton the breaks faster cuz he was on my ___ and made him rear end me..cuz wouldn't it have been his falt?!

I don't need to be told that as I've never had a speeding ticket. *sticks out tongue*
