Anyway, I am currently in the market for a touchscreen, nav/dvd capable headunit. I'd like to see your screens (pics, please!) along with price and model brand/name/number!

 

I bought a eclipse AVN 2454 with the map disc for 650.00

 

does your flippy door cover thing still close over it and do you have any pics?

 

wtf is the ecplise a navigation too? and did u get it new?

I have the Pioneer avic-d2 and couldn't be happier with it. My stock door still closes without a problem. A pic is posted in my profile.

Yes, it has navigation, and yes my door does close fine. I had to custom drill the holes on the stock brackets, but it was no big deal.

 

i have the eclipse avn5435. it is a very nice headunit. the radio door will close but you will have to modify the door a little to make it close without rubbing the headunit. or some people have modified the brackets.

I'm sorry, I couldnt resist, mine is a touchscreen; but im on a car comptuer setup.

If you know a little about computers, I actually found that this was cheaper than a full headunit install for all the same stuff, and more customizable for me.

My touchscreen is a Liliput 7" and a Carputer from Mp3Car.com

how did u get those gagues on you screen

 

The D2 comes with the program already loaded.
The only thing you have to do is connect the wires so the gauges actually work.

Phanon_TC, did you modify your own brackets or did you buy the brackets?

 

modified them myself.. just drilled holes where the indentations are.. look at my avic d3 tread i posted and will see where I drilled holes
