I was just wondering how anyone that gets a lip kit or body kit after purchasing the car has it painted. I know the body shop we used for my moms car always uses blending. They used it on our nearly totaled mini-van after we had it for a few years and on our rav after it got rear ended the same week we had it. So it doesn't really matter how long you've had the vehicle to them.

So how does everyone have it done? Just paint and install or install and blend? Or does it matter on how long you've had the car?

 

I've had both done. I had it blended on my 95 DSM but just sprayed stock on my tC.

 

how much did it cost you to have it just sprayed?

Either way with fiberglass kits the kit will always look off

 

how much would you say for just the front lip

 

Im going to order the Kaminari Body kit, can some one give me an idea of what I should expect in cost to have it put on and painted?

 

I got my front lip sprayed (no blending) and it looks fine. My tC is only an 06 tho so theres not gonna be any real fading in the oem paint and no reason to blend.

 

I think the plastic pieces on my car already look just slightly different and ive had my car since may 06.

 

i just got it sprayed and installed it. Color match was awesome.

 

The proper way would be to install and blend. The easy was is to pain and install. Its all really a matter of opinion and how old the car is.
