Default 41 NA HP from Monster Motorworks?

Monster Motorworks is advertising a tC NA Stage 2 setup that they claim will boost hp by 41. If that is for real, that would be cheap HP, but it seems pretty unlikely. Here is a link to the setup:

http://www.monstermotorworks.com/cgi...&ppinc=search2

Does anyone have any experience with this particular setup and/or MonsterMotorworks? Any opinions? Plus....what axle-back setup did you use with this?

total bs ram air does nothing. you have to be going 310 mph hour to get 1hp on a ram air set up, all ram air is good for is cooling the engine bay, and maybe the intake pipe.

holy cow what a rip off.... 1 grand for that? and holy over-estimating on the hp for every part...heres a better idea, get a good cai or make your own, make sure the filter is away from the engine heat and wrap the whole intake pipe in heat wrap to prevent heat soak. then get a good set of headers and wrap that with heat wrap too, prevents heat from transferring to the engien bay and and improves the flow, also get a custom full exhaust and you will get as much power if not more than that setup for alot cheaper....also 40 hp from just that stuff is rediculous, its more like 25 at most.

I had this set up (not for this price, caught a series of group buys, so it was nearly half what they asked). Prior to going FI, I got a baseline tune with this, and I dyno'd at 166-168 whp.

Did you do a before and after dyno? Do you know what the net increase was?

Sadly, I had no "before" dyno. I needed a baseline to see what my FI gains were, and this was it.

Another reason I am overly skeptical about this company. Thier gain numbers are even too high for each part. Not to mention they try to fool people that dont know that you can NOT add up hp gains like that. You will lose hp in some areas and gain in others, especially on a header. Dyno results online these days dont do much for me either, those can be skewed in so many ways it isnt even funny. MMW has "proven" nothing to me so far other than they are just another "tuner shop". And they even link a dyno run but show no dyno result at the end. Humorous.

Let me fix the website and make it alittle more clear.

The 26HP was made on a car with a Exhaust already as a baseline.
The we added a header and intake system and Cold Airbox.
I will load a dyno tommorow with us just adding a ram air kit and putting a fan to the ram air scoop and show you the difference.
If not why do most Mustang guys buy intakes that include ram air, or even a ram air hood?

What exhaust did you use? 26hp with an exhaust is a lot. I just want to see what exhaust that is maybe I'll pick one up too.

As a baseline the car already had exhaust..
We made 26hp with the header and intake added to the mix..

131hp/127tq stock? What, is it an automatic? That's dreadfully low. I've seen sheets of guys bone stock with higher numbers than your full mod sheets.

1. This is a Dynapack, which reads differently than a Dynojet which everyone is used to seeing..
2. This is more accurate than a Dynojet, which is an inertia dyno.
3. Were looking at the difference in before and after.

Isnt what we all want to see is what the result is before and after the mods..

1. Website needs to be updated.. thats true..
2. We warranty all products with problems. Example ( dampers or header problems we had in the past ).

And what is it about my post above yours that **isses you off?
I posted that to clear things up..

Also those dyno's were from like almost 2 years ago.

You guys used the chassis dyno too? That's what my tuner uses. Apparently a very accurate dyno.

he is right. it doesnt matter if those numbers are lower than the dynojet because all your looking at is the amount of power gained and that will transfer over to any dyno reading....looks like a guess pretty close to what the real gains were from everything, 25 to your ~26....did you do any tuning with the parts on to squeeze out more power
