Maybe you could look in the registry and find at least some of the other Scion owners up there.

I'll be one of the Scion folks wandering up there this summer in a group, and will be up there other times, too, just 'cause I enjoy Vancouver. :)

Thanks for the support Thomas, hope to keep bumping this for more interest, Please post when your groups plan on making the journey north, just make sure you "fill your tanks before you cross" higher gas prices up here. I am going to watch the pages for some meet and greets down closer to the border and try and make a couple. We have lots of get drives up here but I still do luck the drive all Chucanut (sp?) Drive down in your state alot nicer the the I-5.
I am sure you will be shocked at the damage this years storms have done to Stanley park :shock: It doesn't look quite the same.

I would love to be part of Scion activities up with you guys! Heck, you all are a lot more closer than some of the people on my regional board, lol.

i leave on the 30th of april, so even the last weekend of the month works for me. i work nights (restaurant industry) so my days are completely free. any time is good for me! i'm not partial to any spot since i don't know many good viewpoints in town. we can always pick a restaurant after we've picked out the area we're planning on driving to/meeting at. just let me know when or where.

can anyone make a decision for the rest of us on this thread? :P

agreed. i remember going out with a friend to an RSX meet when they first came out and the photos taken were awesome, but purely due to the number of cars in the pictures.

we had a fabulous time too! should definitely go up cypress or some other picturesque windy road when we get back. i'll leave it to you two to scout. you have a month!

Anyone heading down to the scionfest on the 19th in washington?? can't wait to test the 2008. i went to the dealership to see one already.. pretty nice overall. But material feels cheap inside.

I was just at the Scion Backstage. Kinda cool. Test drove the new xb... floored it... slamed on the brakes... abs went on.. pretty impressive. Steering don't feel as fast. Very quiet. Loads of power. I left early as i got pretty tired from being stuck in the traffic for over an hour. When i left i had the highest score by over 1000points to the next guy. Show them what Canadians are made of eh... lol.. Got two tee shirt, coasters, air freshener, pend, backpack, they made a DVD video of me introducing my car, some fuzzy dice and ate alot of food. Mini taco, mini burger.... and loads of rockstar energy drink. Met up with most of the seattle scion crew. It was awesome! With more of you guys came down. I'll post up pics soon!

Sure, welcome to Vancouver....
Metrotown mall is in Burnaby, I am guessing you live downtown as a girl at my office said that she see's an xb parked at her building quite often with Manitoba plates.

Head over to Main street and drive south at the top of the hill, Kingsway branches off to the left. Head down Kingsway to the 4700 block and Metrotown is the mall to your right. The Starbucks is located at the Superstore and Silver city(movie theaters) parking lot. The Starbucks in part of the Chapters book store.

I suggested 10 or 11, I'm fine with both times, I will get there at 10 and wait until 11. At 11 we could be ready to head out somewhere like Downtown, Stanley Park.

That would give the early arrivers time to chat before we head out and the hour gives people time if they are running late.

i had a great time. The robson train was pricesless. I am thinking that everyone walking up and down the street thought it was an invasion!! For me my personal life is in a little disaray but this helped to get my mind off all of that....and i want to thank everyone that came out it was great to meet you all and i cant wait to hit up that BBQ come Aug!!!

hello all!

i never thought i would be one of THOSE people who drive down robson street like that. hahaaa. dylan and i had a great time. and thank you k/c?alvin for buffing out my bumper. i realized i didn't properly thank you. i'll make sure i know the way next time so that i can lead and not rear-end any of the xb's. HAHAHAHAHA.

pictures will be up very soon, i'm still sizing and cropping them, and have about half the batch done. the last sat. in august is the 25th. i'll pencil the bbq in for that date then?

will be getting my oil changed next monday at regency toyota. my service advisor (good ol' garry) told me that there's a white xb that gets serviced there and he'll be happy to pass on the scion meet info to the guy. hopefully we'll double our number for next meet too!

so you know how you guys were saying, to get the scheduled maintenance light to stop flashing at start-up, hold down the odo. tab when starting the car? well, i got my oil changed over a week ago and the thing still won't stop blinking at me!
i've held it down, started pushing it before/during/after start-up and it just won't stop. frankly, it's driving me :crazy:

any suggestions will be very helpful.

Hi Hide, last meet and cruise there were 5 xB's and 1 tC. If we all keep tagging ever one we see maybe we can build this up. I stopped and spoke with another xB owner today and gave him the info on this string. I would like to try and get something going for the weekend but I don't know with the short time frame. SOOO EVERYONE WATCHING, HERES WHAT WE CAME UP WITH.......

To make it easier to spread the word of this group to other Scions we run into,
Starting March, we will start meeting every second Sunday of each month at 12:00 high noon to start building interest and try to get more people involved.

We will meet in front of the Bay at Metrotown and park in the front lot along Kingsway.

When interest builds, we can add other meeting points such as downtown or Guildford shopping mall in Surrey for people out in the valley that don't what to run into the downtown area.
We could use this forum to dicuss where and what to do each month or if ideas are not posted up we can fiquire it out at Metrotown.

Other ideas thrown around on Saturday were to start posting this up into the Pac NW forum for other Scionlife members south of the border that might want to run up on the weekend or some of us heading down south for meet and greets.
Start printing up drop notes that will say " Scion meet and greet at Metrotown every second Sunday of each month" and start tagging every Scion we see! I tagged alot of Scion and got a few to post up but as discussed, watching a forum to find out when to meet gets a little tiring :yawn:
So mark you calendars and spread the word,

just throwing some ideas out there but if you took:

a Maple leaf and incorporated the outline of the Van. skyline with harbor center restaurant or bc place or pan pacific w/five sails near the bottom of the leaf and then have Van-City Scion incorporated so the 'Y' is the stem of the leaf, this all can be mono color

What we can All do is, sketch something up and bring it along for the next meet and put all the ideas together. then finalize it so we have something for the future. the ones the showup have in put the others are on the side line....lol

the maple leaf thing is a great idea. I love graphic arts so if any of you have ideas email me some. i love coming up with images and graphics...pitfalls of being an artist!!

CanXB would be a great source of info as well. He has some mad skills with paint and modeling custoizing.

not trying to difficult but regardless of what name and loo are i am running with this one. i will run whatee logo an name we all choose but I love how it tuned out and I can get it made for pretty cheap as well.

no worries on the logo but I figure if we put our heads together we will come up with something.

Im just really eagar to get this club offical. i have some big plans for my box this summer which includeda decal wrap, interior work and Lowering Springs( you hear that Can Xb i am going to needyour help there!!) i would love to get a couple days arranged where if we have work to do on our boxes we can all get toegther and help each other to do this work.

Just ideas but i would love to become a big Scion Chapter...let the Yanks know we love our boxes too!!!

CanXB i am probably going with the eibach sportlines. I like the idea ofa varable spring rate. Soft when driving and hard into turns. if not then tanube's with a 2 inch drop.

Where o where did you spot the mystery rs1? Mine has my name all over it, so you would have known it was me... bc plates?

one on Canada way near bcit with 17 is black wheels
other usually near metrotown / Kingsway or richmond stock wheels
