Default that stupid ford fusion commercial!

i am sick of those stupid ford fusion car&driver adds that try to promote ford for making a better car than the toyota camry and honda accord!

the ALL-WHEEL DRIVE!!! ford fusion handles better than the FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE camry and accord! NO KIDDING!!!

here are some other catagories the ford fusion has the advantage

v6 fusion faster than 4cyl accord and camry!
automatic transmission easier to operate than their manual transmissions!
fusion with the nav system don't get lost as often as camry and accord drivers without nav systems!
heated seats better on cold days then the regular camry and accord seats!

i mean, god i hate that commercial! if it was the reguler front-drive fusion, i would be shocked that it did better than the camry and accord, but i mean duhhhhhhh awd is superior to front wd.

sorry, i just had to rant about that stupid commercial somewhere...i mean, jesus, that thing is built in mexico! the accord and camry are actually built in the us! what a stupid freaking commercial! i seriously weep for ford!

no, they don't say "toyota and honda don't offer awd" they just say "awd ford fusion out handles camry and accord" period. ford fusion comes with a front wheel drive v6 trim. how does that handle compared to v6 accord and camry?

"duhhhh, we here at ford couldn't compete with honda and toyota when similarly equiped. so we stacked the deck and managed to outperform them by adding all-wheel drive! we win! hurray!"

fusion v6 awd=24,090; 221 hp; 20/28 mpg
(my favorite feature is the quasi-duel exhaust)
camry v6=$23,540; 269 hp; 22/31 mpg
accord v6=$23,350; 244 hp; 20/29 mpg (auto)

the fusion doesn't beat accord and camry in any other catagory. so superior handling with awd is the only thing they would find to brag about.

if it was front-wheel drive ford fusion out handled camry and accord, then that is considerable. how about they compare it to another mid-size sedan with awd? like a dodge charger sxt v6? or a subaru outback h6 3.0? they deliberately made this comparison to try and lie and sell their crappy rebadged mazda 6. why don't they sell their cars by building and designing them better than their rivals?

I think that's all the info people need right there.
Ford
-costs more, makes less HP, gets fewer MPG.

I don't think any of that commercial is true. Camry is wayyy better than the Fusion any day. And besides, the fusion just got the navigation as an option, the Camry and Accord have had it as an option since day one!!

Another great fact for the great American Ford Company, the Fusions are not made in the US but the Camery is. Makes me laugh that the pride themselves on being American.

okay, here is even more deck stacking!
awd fusion comes standard with traction and stability control, while camry has it optional, not sure about the accord. but sheesh, no wonder they were like "the rear end tried to slide out." what a bunch of tards. what makes me even more angry is that i am a car and driver subscriber in the dc area and i didn't get asked to drive. i would have torn ford a new one! they would have been bleeping my entire interview!

yeah, part of the screening process was "will you blindly support any american brand vehicle against any and all imports?"

notice i say brand and not made since the fusion is hacho en mexico while the accord and camry are built in the us.

They would have to find some other catagory to compare to than handling though.

Towing capacity maybe? However, judging by the Tundra double cab commercials, Toyota already seems to be doing that to Ford.

I've always heard "Fixed Or Repaired Daily"

Their commercials also mention the Fusion is the only car in it's class to offer AWD. Doesn't the MazdaSpeed6 or Subaru Legacy fall in it's class? The latter offering AWD standard? This statement always bugs me.

and the funny part is is the Fusion is just a reskinned Mazda 6 "Ford Fusion AWD outperformes Camry and Accord" HA they needed a Jap car to beat a Jap car, no way an american design could have. i'd rather have the better looking Mazda than the ugly looking Ford. and to think this is the end result of the Ford Fourty-Nine concept, talk about screwing your customers over. no wounder their going down.
