Is a razar blade really best? will that do any damage to my window? I read 2 places to use a razar blade and it jsut sounds...violent.

 

razors have worked for me in the past. when taking off inspection stickers, and military stickers. takes a while and sometimes leaves some goo behind, but they work and won't damage your glass. just keep it flat.

 

i used to detail cars in HS. just keep the blade flat against the glass and have it at a 30 degree angle or so. dont use it on the inside of tinted windows and itll work great!

 

cool thanks, just wanted to make sure...the goo left over could be taken off with goo gone right? I rather leave a sticker on my window than be left with a stain.

 

wet the widow with some soapy water. use a razor blade at an angle. scrape off the sticker. then for the left over residue, use one of those sponges with a mesh on it (its for removing bug and tar) and scrub until the goo is gone. rinse with water and ur done.

 

i'm too chicken to put a blade to the glass also

i would either warm it up (sunlight/hairdryer) then let some goo gone sit on it

 

i dont think theres a way to scratch glass with a razor. i have used razor blads with some grease and it helped like a charm.

razor blade w/ goo gone is fine i even took off the supercharged decal on my 89 mr2 which wasn't on the window.

 

using a razor blade can get rid of the left over adhesive without the need for goo gone.

 

Razor blade is the best thing. I work at a Toyota/Scion dealership and the prep guys take off the windowstickers with razors. So for all of you guys worried about taking a razor to your car, it was already done once at the dealership.

 

Yep, razor. Used it three times on the car.

 

also, a very fine grit steel wool pad can clean any left over residue, with windex.
