Default X3 Racing Smoked Tails

Saw these in another thread but figured I'd post them again. I just ordered a pair, will provide pics (Nautical Blue).

$215 plus shipping, seems like a decent deal if they look any good on the car. Maybe I don't come around often enough, but are these the only real smoked tails on the market? Are the rest just overlays or spray-on?

My old Jetta turbo was dark blue and I loved having the dark tails on it, it made the whole car dark blue and black for the tails/tinted windows etc. I miss that look but these look like they will do the trick on my NBP tC.

I think it depends on your car color personally.

I have a Nautical Blue and I totally love the all dark look. I don't like the tails to stand out, but that's just me. So these will blend with my color rather than draw attention to themselves.

I need to do a search and see if anybody has a replacement smoked piece for the mirror turn signal light...

No problems with leaking or anything else thus far . I am very happy with them . If you have a dark car , I think the smoked or black will look great !~ Good Luck

Wow. Those look really good. I think they would look best on a Flint Mica or the Black Sand Pearl (do tC's come in that color?)

That would look sick!

Yes, the tC comes in BSP.

However, if you imagine these on a super white or silver tC, you get the black border, and I'm not a big fan of the black border, since the tC doesn't have many other borders on the outside body. The TYC tails have the same issue; I would've liked to see a red housing option, since the red housing keeps the monotonic color going with the taillight. Perhaps even an all silver housing, where the black parts would be gray or silver instead (the obligatory red retroreflectors would still be there).

Those are on the FM . I can tell you that a lighter color car should go with the clear chrome look . The smoke or black housings on a lighter color will not work well . I think the black works very well here with FM .

Bat has an overlay for the mirrow signal or you could hit 'em with VHT. As of now, I don't think anyone sells that entire piece pre-smoked,
