Default LOOKING TO PURCHASE A 2005-06 TC..TOYOTA SALES PEOPLE....COM

Good afternoon,

I'm once again searching for a car. I had tried numerous times within the past couple months. I have no idea what my credit score is. To be honest, I don't want to know. Any way, I'm looking for an 05-06 used tc. I have been browsing around recently at tc,s around my budget ($10-13k) Now, I know my credit was ran a lot within the pass couple months with cars, and cell phone service providers. How much of an effect would that do of my chances on getting the tc? To my knowledge, my student loan and a old macys credit line from 03 that went into collections. I'm looking to get this car in july. If I go ahead and paid off my macys card, would that better my chance? I'm also opening up an bank account with a credit union soon. I know that would better my chances. Let me know what you guys think. ooohhhh yea....ill be putting a down payment of $5000.

the less you have under your name the better. I would pay off that CC first and see what happens. Im sure if you tell them you have 5k to throw down their gonna work with you. You have a couple of months to work on it so thats good!

dont worry man...i contacted about 7 or 8 dealerships looking at Acura RSX-type S's and i ran my credit at everyone, then i went to Scion and got approved in the same day...your APR might be high, but your putting 5,000 down so i dont think it will be that big of a deal for you, but who knows

Any time your credit is looked at , it goes down as a check . The more often you have your credit checked , it can hurt you .

why dont you check your credit first with equifax ( or the other 2 )

scion is no haggle, you cant bargain the price or apr since everything is upfront, the more you put down the lower ur payments

Your credit score goes down only 1 point every time its checked so its not that big of a deal.

As for credit cards, pay it off first. Pre-pay as much as you can so you get it out faster. Once its payed off remember to pay off any debt every month. Your gonna screw yourself if you don't pay off all the debt on the card every month.

Dont worry about not knowing your Credit Score or FIN (Financial Independence Number) anything that relates to your personal finance. Most people don't know anything either. You can learn a bit more here though. This site should help http://www.myfico.com/CreditEducation/

Default tc

I will pay off my macys card in one sum. My student loan I can't. To much money. I'm aiming for a 2006 model. Anybody know any good websites for used cars? I know cars.com, autotrader, and yahoo autos. Do you guys recommend buying from a toyota dealership? Or a used car dealer?

Finance the car through Patelco so you can get a lower APR and check craigslist for local private sellers.
