go there and put your paint code in. they will send you matching oem paint in a spray can. im prob getting a few bottles of this for my fiberglass enclosure, engine cover, and interior. only thing that sucks is it costs 19.95 a bottle.

I have got to start meeting up with you guys! I have had my car for a year now and since I live so close to most of you, and love to work on my car, i gotta get involved.
As for what I would like to work on I am not sure. But I can contribute by offering assistance. I have done alot to my car so far. I know that lriiceboy was (and might still be) looking to get his interior LED conversion done. :lalala:

OK, I'm definitely in now (though I have to work from 1 AM to 8 AM on Sunday morning right after the meet). My primary project will be to dampen the stuff behind the radio door cover to combat the squeaks.
Would it be going to far if I bring my stock wheels to change out of my winter wheels? I figure that I could get it done with at least the spare kit jack and a torque wrench.

Does everybody have the right tools for what they want to do? Anybody working 'under' car, and if so, do you have a floor jack and jack stands? I have tools, but I'm not going to drag all my stuff out there, if everybody's got their own.

I have nothing at my house I don't think.
Lil_Deuce_tCoupe

You don't really need a whole lot of tools for what you're doing though, right? (Unless you want to do your springs - do you??? Jesse said he won't be getting there until 5 or so to do his.)

Looks like I'll be stopping by at some point too. I won't have enough time to do all the things I want for my own ride, but will gladly give a helping hand towards others.
To those I met the other night at the Expo, it was a pleasure (I'm Eric, the "new member", by the way). To those I haven't met yet, hope to see you Saturday. BBQ!!

Hey Eric! I was wondering how long it was going to take for you to 'stop lurking - start posting'. :P I was waiting for you to post, so I could PM you for something yesterday, but now I can't remember what it was. Sucks to be old! lol See you Saturday.

Hey Steve! I also figured it was about time to take off the training wheels and jump into the mix. Plus, now I can actually put faces to the SL name so it's makes me feel less like a stalkerish-goon. Lol.
As far as your age goes, you might as well hop into a car from the 60's your so old. But if you do happen to remember your question, at least now you know the man behind the Bat. :silly: If not, I'll see you Saturday anyway.

Getting back on track...

I don't have any tools right now besides my spare tire kit; I was going to look into buying a torque wrench tomorrow so I could get the lug nuts on right.
Lil_Deuce_tCoupe
04-20-2007, 12:42 AM
Next time, be like Tam and give a big 'anywaaaaaaays.........' to get back on track. :lalala: It's up to you, but a torque wrench might be overkill just for lug nuts. It's a good tool to have, but I'd be surprised to find out that anyone actually torques lug nuts.

OK, sounds like I can do it just fine with the spare tire kit. Thankfully I still have the tire bags, so I can reuse them. Can't wait to get the 225/45/17's back on.

I didn't take any pics unfortunately, but I did get to go back to the 17's with the Falkens. Good thing NHxB14140 and I looked at the tires, because I found a finish nail and a couple of other in the front right! It stood up when I let the jack down, though, and the worst that I saw was a TPMS sensor light. The ride was ok on the way back, and I topped off all the wheels to 35 psi and reset the TPMS sensor. Time for some new shoes ("Same again, please!").
I also forgot my spacing tape for the radio door silencing project; I'll have to tackle that later.

yeah, someone said that too.... man... i really don't think i can drive a dropped car.... i'll have to think about it... but i don't want to waste these springs either. i got time to think. i'm plotting some nice rims though... gosh.. cars are expensive habits.
