I have a pretty good feeling the wheels from a Mini will fit our cars. They are a 4x100. Still don't know the offset yet. I saw a set on a Vitz. They looked tight.

JDMJim 08-24-2004, 09:27 PM Offset is +48 RogerTTR 08-24-2004, 09:47 PM It looks like many of our aftermarket wheels will interchange, however, they may in some cases require different centering rings and for sure, different lug hardware! Kendo 08-25-2004, 01:07 AM The AC Schnitzer wheels for the Mini Cooper won't fit without a spacer kit of some sort. They're 17×7.5 ET48 and will hit. I already tried a test fit. 15mm spacer kit ought to do. Centerbore is also off by 2mm. The Mini's is 56.1mm and the Scion's of course are running 54.1mm so rings will be needed as well. If you could find some old school wheels for the BMW E30 chassis 3-series, and ring those... that'd be sweet. They're 4×100 ET20 or so. allblackxb 08-25-2004, 01:11 AM These wheels are from Hamann motorsports. 18*8" wheels 4x100 with a pretty nice lip. http://www.fast-autos.net/hamann/mini5.html I am buying these in a few months. xtremeOrange 08-25-2004, 01:27 AM anyone have a pic or link of those 3-series rims? the_saint 08-25-2004, 01:48 AM These wheels are from Hamann motorsports. 18*8" wheels 4x100 with a pretty nice lip. http://www.fast-autos.net/hamann/mini5.html I am buying these in a few months. oooOO those are hot! macncheese 08-25-2004, 01:50 AM Not sure which mini wheels you're talking about but I used to own a Cooper S and the 17s are stupid heavy. They are nice and are very affordable. macncheese 08-25-2004, 02:57 AM I had a cooper S with the 17s and they're stupid heavy. allblackxb 08-25-2004, 03:02 AM Well that's not good. I think those hamann wheels are light though, not sure how much they way. macncheese 08-25-2004, 03:27 AM I believe the hamanns are about 26lbs each. Kendo 08-25-2004, 05:49 PM 2 things to keep in mind. #1 • I believe the wheels are 18×8.0 ET43 so spacers will be needed. This will hit in the rear for sure. #2 Double check the seat on the wheels. The ACS wheels for the Mini are set up to use ball seat lug bolts so custom ball seat lug nuts would be needed on the Scion. Not too sure on the seating of the Hamann wheels so you may want to double check. rbloedow 02-07-2005, 06:08 AM I really want these for my xB: http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/5e/1b/f3_3.JPG Kendo 02-07-2005, 04:15 PM Hey Rbloedow, I know someone with a Cooper S that just upgraded to the AC Schnitzer wheels. If you're intereted I can see if he wants to sell his stocks (they are the ones in the image you posted). randode 02-07-2005, 04:25 PM i put the 17" Foose wheels off of my mom's mini on my xB before I bought my wheels. The wheels fit perfectly, but the tires were too small. Kendo 02-07-2005, 04:38 PM The bolt pattern is perfect. You will need a 2mm hubcentric ring (Mini's centerbore is 56.1 and the Scion's is 54.1) and most likely a spacer setup as the Mini runs a really high offset and the Scion is more on the mid to low area. Blue_Ra 02-08-2006, 01:38 AM [quote="Kendo"]... You will need a 2mm hubcentric ring (Mini's centerbore is 56.1 and the Scion's is 54.1).../quote] They don't make a 2mm hubcentric adaptor ring - you need to bore out the stock wheel to take a 60x54.1 ring. The 2mm is too thin and will break. I just had it done on a set of Minilites that I kept when I traded my MINI. It will cost you around $120-$160 plus the rings and any shipping. |
