Default Hey Ipod People! anyone having issues with ipods and tcs?

Or is it just me? I just bought a new nano, Its my first mp3 player ever. And i have a 05 Tc, i decided to buy that monster cable so i could listen to it in my car, but it REALLY sucks, and The sales person at apple told me its the most clear sounding, i cant find a clear station at all in NY State, and its ____ing me off? Anyone have problems like this when trying to listen to there ipod? should i get a aftermarket deck put in, that has a dirrect ipod link to it? or should i bring it back? its broke?

Help me out guys. Really bummed that i spent 360bucks, and it sounds like ____. My friend has the same setup, and hers sounds really good? whats up

If you want the best sound quality, you need to buy an aftermarket deck with either the I-Pod jack on the face or an AUX input on the back. That will definately dring a smile to your face and you will see that $360 did not go to waste. I had the little device that lets you hear it through a radio station and its garbage. Get the new deck and you will thank me later.

ok, so i just got back from this place who did my dads Benz, and they were friggen AWESOME TO ME! Toyota makes this Little box thing, that will go into our tc's. Everything is hidden, except for this one small wire that comes out of the glove box. They make it so you can put the wire back in the glove box easy, and they do a little custon drilling to one side so the wire can be pulled out to the back seat. He told me after this is installed, it will sound like a CD player, and be as clear and loud as day!

apparently those FM cables, have been known to freeze ipods, and burn them out he told me. SOOO

200 bucks, and it will sound clear and loud as my Cd player!

Good deal.

Basically the cheapest thing to do is buy an OEM 06/07 Headunit and then just plug into the aux input.

For that price you could have gotten a new HU.

I have an 06 with the ipod HU. The controls royally suck ___ (especially when you have a loaded 60GB ipod and want to hear a band starting with "Y"), but the sound is great- far superior to any FM-transmitter or other non-hard-wired connection.

mine came with the ipod hook up but driving to work the other day my ipod itself froze. i dont think it was the tcs fault, and yea the controls do kinda suck if you have alot of music on it, still much better than having that all on cds.
