Default *update* current tc owners...flint mica or black sand pearl?

hi all,

i'm new to scionlife and plan to buy a tc in the very near future. can't decide between flint mica or black sand pearl. i plan to switch the factory tails to anzos. anyone who owns either fm or bsp... can you give me pros/cons? or anyone else who has a constructive opinion, please share. much appreciated!

(my apologies, this was originally posted in the "i'm getting/have a new TC" thread, but i thought i might get more responses here)

I used to have flint mica. Its a really nice color, but lately Ive been craving the black. I now own a superwhite... You can't go wrong either way, just keep it clean and you'll look good..

Black will make a small dent look like a friggin ripple . Also shows dirtiness REALLY easy . You know these things though . I prefer AND HAVE a FM . I would not change . I love the color . So many pros to NOT owning a black car . If you can accept the cons , buy the black . Black is nice . Just never drive it ! LOL Both are good colors when clean . WHEN CLEAN and not damaged at all . If you are going to be driving the car , good luck with black

well put, but i deffinatley have to agree with forceNut... it makes it look so expensive with some nice rims and low profile tires, just keep it clean. aha

yes, i used to own a black honda civic (until it was stolen... which is why i'm buying a tc). black is also my favorite color... but i know all about the scratches, the dust, the dirt...

i just don't know enough about the flint mica, other than it's very pretty and sparkles because it's metallic. but it's also very dark grey, so i'm wondering if the maintenance on one isn't much easier than black. so if there is no difference in ease of care, it simply comes down to which color looks better.

also, i think the anzo tails (i really want... they make the car look more expensive) would look sharper on a BSP than FM... but i could be mistaken. it might look just as good on a FM? i've seen pics posted but it's still hard to tell. (and i know it may be silly to choose the car color based on the lights... that's like choosing your outfit based on what shoes you wear. but then again, i know people who do that too!)

opinions?

I think FM is easier to care for. You can't see the dirt and dust as bad. But BSP still gets my vote!

Here's my opinion: FM looks awesome during the day, mainly because there is a rediculous amount of flake in it. That being said, BSP looks sweet at night. Now, one thing I would HIGHLY consider is the modifications you plan on doing. I have found out that FM can be a very difficult color choice when searching for wheels, whereas BSP, well basically any color combo will work. U have the same choice I had and its not an easy one. If there's any way u can look at them side-by-side during the day and night I would highly recommend that. Anywho, let us know what u decide!

FM is your best bet then . FM is really nice when clean , still nice when a bit dirty , and a beautiful color . If you like both colors , you should simply get an FM . You will probably be happier than you ever were with your black Honda . Black is great for a showroom . However , FM is as well and is MUCH easier to keep clean . You asked if the maintenance would be easier than the black . Absolutely !!
Good luck .

I say BSP, but I would have gone SW possibly too. I love the look of CF kit and hood on a white car.
