Default how much am i lookin to get?

idk if this will be repost by me but the other didnt show up.

i have a sw 06 tc auto 24kmiles, it was the trd springs, trd exhust, srs airbags, the ipod thing, 18" rw racing wheels and all the other small things but nothing is modified in the engine. how much am i looking to get if i sell it at a private party? also, how much credit would i be looking to get if i trade it in for the same car except stick shift?

Put it this way: If you enter a 2006 tC with 15000 miles in excellent condition, they say the private party value is $17,600. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't pay $1000 more for a used car than a new car!

I have a question on this topic though... what about Release Series? Wouldn't the expectation be that that the only way you could get an Absolutely Red tC (considering you wanted a red one bad enough) is to find one of the 2500 people who have one and is willing to sell? Would that add value?

Also, as far as the question above... you should never factor in the cost of mods. Another tuner might see the value in it, but dealerships and the average person will not. Try telling a local dealership that they should pay another $100 on the blue book value cause you have TRD springs and see what they say. In some instances, it lowers the value unless you can prove the work was done by a certified Toyota mechanic. The only exception to that IMO are rims, turbo/super charger kits and stereo equipment.

So.... anyone looking to buy an '05 RS1.0 tc? I'll let mine go right now for $17,500. LOL.

that is where the value of scion's gets fuzzy. i think that scion accessories installed by toyota/scion dealership would add to the resale value because they would be dealer installed options. for instance i should get some extra $$$ because my tc has auto dimming mirror, interior leds, fog lights, leather seats, scion security, cold air intake and exhaust. all of these are scion/trd parts installed by the dealership and i have every single invoice to prove it. soon i'll have all the trd suspension parts installed. now this is several thousand dollars in dealer installed accessories, therefore my resale value shall reflect this. my car has aftermarket dealer installed options, but they are all quality parts.

however things that negatively affect resale value are non-toyota/scion/trd parts because they are of unknown quality and there is always the question of how well they were installed.

lastely, rs series scions do have higher resale values because of their limited production numbers and exclusive features, but that doesn't matter because they still paid more for theirs to begin with, and aren't going to see all of that when they trade in their rs.
