i have an aftermarket head unit that actually has a regular RCA aux-input. I want to connect my factory aux port (in the center console arm rest) to this input.
Has anybody done this? I imagine you can just modify the wire to have RCA inputs, but has anybody tried doing this or something similar?
Any help you can lend is appreciated.
Thanks!

Not to sound like a jerk or anything, but search for it. This question has been asked numerous times. Search for "Aftermarket HU and Aux" and I gurantee you will find your answer.

I did like 5 searches before i posted. I couldnt find anything that answered my specific question... but of course, the one search i didnt do was "HU".
Go figure.
Thanks for the tip.. using 'HU' in my search turned up some good results.

If anybody comes accross this post looking for info, this is what i've gathered:
It's not worth splicing the stock aux-input wire to an RCA-style input. It is better to route a new cable in place of the stock one.
You just need a 3' (or 1 meter, preferably) female stereo mini-to-male RCA cable (like $5 at radio shack), and some patience in removing the old cable and mounting this new one in the factory location.
Good luck!
