Picts of the new car
No i did not get rid of my xB!!!
have been wanting one of these for quite a while. My wife finally convinced me that i work hard enough that i deserve to treat myself to a fun toy. Since my youngest is at Pitt, i sure as hell don't need to do the minivan thing anymore. I thought about getting a Vette, but the whole 'gold chain midlife crisis old farts drive Vettes' thing bugged me. Besides, i wanted somthing a little different...something Euro...but not boring..
So after a lot of searching, here she is
2004 Chrysler Crossfire(M-B SLK) 3.2 V6, 215HP, 229 lb/ft, 5 speed autostick, and a ____load of attitude. 255/35/19 rears, and every toy you can imagine. Picked her up in Duncansville, with under 5500 miles on the odo. Original owner was a woman. Spotless inside and out, and the price was about 1/2 of what the origianl sticker was. Still has about 6 months of warranty on it, plus i can get a Chrysler service contract for not a lot of $$.
This is one FUN car to drive!! Not the fastest in a straight line(high 14's), but this car handles!! I considered the SRT6, but between the higher upfront cost, plus insurance and other factors, i went with the N/A. Still has plenty of *****.

I agree about the whole gold chains, mid life crisis Vette thing. That combo is as common as dirt around here.
Good choice on the Crossfire. Definitely a handsome, unique vehicle that seems more of a mature car than the Vette......ummm, I mean more mature "looking" that is.....not mature as in "older"......oh you know what I mean.
