Painting the valve cover sheld?

Default Painting the valve cover sheld?

ok quick question..... Just wondering if anyone has tried to paint the valve cover sheld? If so how did it turn out and any suggestions on how to prep it or what kinda paint to use?

If your talking about the plastic cover, that covers the valve cover. Then alls your need to do is clean it off really good ( I used a couple Alcohl pads and wiped it down really good. ) Then prime it and paint it. Thats what I did and it turned out looking good.

yes i was talking about the plastic cover... thanks ill give it a try. just wanted to make sure no horror storys

I have seen lots of pics after it was done and they look great. it's on my long "to do" list...

I've seen painted covers and carbon fiber overlay, both look pretty nice.
