Default So I got some crazy new fog lights...

...and they look great, but unfortunately I can't for the life of me figure out how to wire them. They said OEM fit, no mods needed, no complicated wiring, easy to install, etc. Maybe I'm just dumb. I assumed they'd use the stock wire harnesses, but I was very wrong. Here's some pics:

These are the wires that come out of the switch:

These come from the lights themselves:

And this is a mysterious red clip:

I couldn't find anyone else with these, but if you have any idea where these wires go, let me know. I'm pretty sure that each of the clear wires in the center of the two picture go together... so do I have to run them from the switch box into the engine compartment? I'm stumped.

That clip is a t tap which allows you to tap into an existing 12v power source, the black with the ring term on it is the ground to be attached to a screw going into the chassis or something similar.

Thanks for the help... Here is the harness for the lights. From left to right: 2 plugs for the lights, a coil thingy (has no plugs), a fuse (20), and 3 wires that are supposed to connect to something.

Here is the wires for the switch; the blue plug plugs into the switch, and the wires... Black for ground, red for power (the switch lights up)? the other one looks like it connects to the light harness, I think.

Well it looks like the red wire get constant B+.
The black one is ground and the third wire is your control wire that is connected to the accessory wire in you ign. switch.

On the switch wire, the red one probably powers up the fog light. The white one powers the switch indicator light. and the black is a ground for probably both foglight and switch indicator light.

ok, super easy except one part..

the picture that has the relay (top one) the blackand red need to go directly to the batter or close. the red to the + and the black to any old metal bolt you can find in the engine bay. the + looks like a super small ring connector. i would, if it dosent fit, cut if off and put in a larger ring connector from your local auto parts store so you can put it righ on the batter post.. then the wires w/ the connectors on them go to the fogs themselves. that white single wire from the top pict goes to the white single wire of the bottom pict (notice is a male and female bullet connector soyou can screw it up).

for the bottom pict, the black needs to go to any old metal bolt for a ground. the red should go to a switched ( meaning when the ignition is on, it is on, when the ignition is off, the power is off (so you cant leave them on). OR, what you could do is tap into the parking light power wire. (not sure where its at) so that he lights will only come on if you have your parking lights on. yes, they will stay on for your headlights too. hi/low.. its just that most factory fog equipped vehicles dont let the fog lights come on alone, so they have them come on only when the parking lights or brighter ones are lit.. . then that blue plug must go to tyour switch itself..

BTW: IMHO, those are the ugliest fogs ever made. people try to get rid of the amber not add it.. but again.. my .02
