I went to the dealer and he said he could get my the color I wanted in like 3-4 days. He calls back after those days and said they are having trouble finding the color and don't have one to trade anyone. He calls back a few days later and said they had to order it for me and it will be in in like 2 wks. Is a month about average for getting a new xB?

They kept telling me it was a rare color to have for MD so I was going to have to wait. I even told them another dealer in PA that had the color I wanted but they couldn't get it for me somehow.

I guess it'll be worth it when I get my Polar White 05 sitting in the driveway!

I waited a good two months for my box. Every time I called them they said only one more week.

Carmax has two PW xBs in their inventory. One manual and one auto.

well it just depends .... Apparently its was hard to find a TCM MT xB in Oregon. all the xB's my dealer is getting are all autos. my dealer said less than 30% are MT. mine was dealer traded for a BOP to get my TCM. According to my dealer, thier only getting in 4 every two weeks!! took a week to get mine!!

Its supply and demand my friend....

Get this another toyota dealership in my area that does not sell New scions, is selling a 2004 xB w/ 22k miles- it was BSP, auto, stock hubcaps, scratches all over and two huge screw holes in the dash- get this FOR $17,999!!!! And they told me that someone was interested in buying it because they did not want to wait.

Hang in thier!!

My dealer had a couple dozen xBs on the lot, at least one of each flavor. So I picked the color and tranny I wanted and we wrote the puppy up. In and out in 3 hours. Came back the next week to have the spoiler and window tint installed.

took 5 days to get my PW MT 05...it is worth though when you get it but you might want to check another dealer.

I stopped in when I saw the 05 Polar White sitting on the lot and starting talking to the dealer. He said unfortunately the other Scion Rep. already had a buyer put some money down on it and couldn't sell it to me. Then he started looking when his next shipment would come in and the other Rep. told him that the other guy actually didn't put a money hold on it so he could sell it if he wanted to. So I scooped it right up. It only had 17 miles on it. I wonder if that guy came back yet and found out his Polar White is now MY POLAR WHITE, hahahahaha!

I'm still waiting. Long story short, no one in my area had the color/transmission that I wanted, so the dealer I'm buying from had to wait for his next allocation. Supposedly my BCP 5-speed (BOP was my first choice, but I can deal) was in NY a week ago and should be in my driveway within two weeks. We'll see . . .

Thompson Scion.....Only reason I went through them is convience of the store location to me, its a 10 minute drive down the road. It would be a hr + to laurel to check on the CarMax ones. Kinda hard to do with no wheels....LOL

But thanks for the links....if Thompson doesnt come through by the 1st week in september I may be ____ed enough to go somewhere else!

Mine was on the lot: 2005 PW w/MT, only 1 mile, front bumper not even drilled yet for the front license plate.

I visited the dealer a week or so ago to buy one of those rear cargo nets, and it looked like they had one in every color (except hot lava). Didn't look close enough to see if they were MTs or ATs, but it was neat to see all those colors side by side!

dealer said about 4-6 weeks on mine(planning to order around Oct 1)... which should put it herearound Christmas. Fine with me as I plan to not drive it much until spring anyway so I can get some mods done in the garage.

I think the intent of this post was to ask "how long did you have to wait to recieve the xB" not how long did the paperwork take. Some of us had to wait days-weeks-months to get ours. we didnt just drive up and it was thier....

called my dealer today to make sure he hadn't forgotten about me...lol

Told me my xB arrived in NY on the 30th and should be at the dealership in a week from the 30th. So hopefully I will have it around the 9th or 10th at the latest!

Any idea why it would take them a week to get it from NY to MD?

Only good thing about it is, it gives me an extra week or so to save up for my rims, lights, spoiler, and tint.

My dealer told me mine was in NY two weeks ago, and I still haven't seen it. I called on Tuesday, and he said it's now "on the truck," which means it could arrive at any time. I think every xB should get a tracking number at the port so we can track their whereabouts a la UPS. :D I am sooo not patient.

It was pretty much whomever can get my car the fastest gets my money. The bigger dealership got it. LoL..figures.. Its a pain in the ___ waiting for your xB, i know all to well. I have it now, and am having a blast. Good Luck on everthing... hope you get it in soon.. Peace \/

I waited 3 days instead of the 3 weeks I was told. This was for a 5 speed TCM. It seems that at the time I bought mine, this was the most popular choice/configuration.

Originally ordered an '04 Lava box. Read here the '05's had just come out and cancelled the Lave and ordered an '05 Polar White. 10 days later I was driving my P.W. xB.

5 weeks and counting... :( I'm begining to wonder if they sold my xB to someone else and are making me wait. I didn't buy any extras and I'm paying cash. The dealer was not happy with me at all. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they sold it to someone who went crazy with the accessories and bought their financing.

I arrived at the dealer at 2pm had the polar white xB with automatic picked out and the paperwork done and drove off the lot by 4pm.

I looked at my first xB the day before. made some calls found what I wanted at Longo Scion [they had at least 2. I test drove one with 53 miles and when we went out to drive off, the salesperson had changed it for the one with 23 miles  she could have sold the other one, I would not have known they had a second one.

Longo is a rather large place [they have sold more Toyotas since like 1967 than anybody oh my!] and the only ones I actually saw were the two white ones and the one with manual transmission on the floor with leather seats. we were the 67th car sold that DAY

Haha,

I waited all of 10minutes to go to my dealership to buy one.

#5 xB sold in the Sacramento Valley  (bought at 7:00pm, Monday June 9th at Florin Road Toyota/Scion, which is now called Elk Grove Toyota/Scion )

haha

It was funny, because the morning of, my dad showed me an ad in the Sacramento Bee. and I was like, THAT IS SICK!

So that afternoon, he took me by Florin Road toyota, and we talked with John Park for about 2 hours, went over everything, and I then had my dad go home, get my truck he gave me while I stayed with John, and he then came back, did the paperwork, and left home by 7pm.

The very next day I went and had bought wheels and tires, the week after, I had the Dots put on by the dealer, and two weeks following the dip n' dots, I bought the TRD exhaust, and then the rest is history.

One year, 3 months, and 2 days after I came home with my first new car, I have only 9600miles on the odometer. :)

And only one ticket to date :D (damn carpool lane ;) )

All in all, I love my car, as well as my parents love theirs!

Did you come to CA to buy yours??

I heard of about 6 or so that did so. :)

That is pretty cool.

I thought it was cool having everyone break they're necks for 3-4months before more people ended up with more scions...

lol

A year and 3 months later, I still have at least one person a week asking me what type of car it is. "Is that an Element??" , I say "f#ck you" (JK  JK)

I had a weird experience buying mine.. I decided I wanted one. I went to one dealership and looked around, the sales chick was super nice, wanted to buy one from her. Decided to wait a day and look at other brands. (dad works for chevy, didnt want a japanese car) Went to another Toyota dealership, looked around, the sales dude was super cool, taught me how to drive stick on a new xb, fully loaded, around the lot. Had to go home, work the numbers. Called him the next day, said, look, I want to come buy this tonite. He said okay I can do the papers, but it doesn't come out for another week, you cant drive it home tonite. I said nevermind, called around to 4 lots, two said they couldnt sell it to me yet, even though I saw some dude drive away in one two days before.

I called a lot, talked to some dude on the phone, really cool, said he would let me drive it home that nite. Went out there got stuck with a total putz. Lil rat looking kid. Hated, hated to give him the sale, just a crappy attitude. But.. I wanted the car. Bought it from him that nite. Called a buddy to come pick it up as at that point, I couldnt drive stick. Got it home learned that nite. The next few days had to go back in twice to re-sign the paper, cause the bean counter kept screwing things up. I think we went back a third time because of bad paperwork. They shoulda given me some free mats or something.....

I have been waiting for my PW MT XB for going on 9weeks now.
I had to get Scion involved and the dealer has made one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
It has now gotten to the point that i just want the XB out of spite!
The dealer has done nothing, with the exception of sucking ALL of the joy out of something I had been looking forward to for a long time.

sorry about the rant.

I got tired of waiting on my dealer and drove an hour and a half to another one that had my car. When I got there it looked like it had been sitting there for a few weeks also....Wish I had gotten more impatient sooner cause I could of had my car a few weeks ago instead of waiting a full month.

But alas...I got my car 8)

Salesman told me 7-10 days. But, he needed a $500 deposit to order a thundercloud automatic. I put down the deposit and called him on day 7 to ask when it might show. "Any day, let me talk to the inventory manager". Long story short, this goes on every couple of days, until I speak to a sales manager and tell him I want my money back because I can get this car at another dealership 25 miles down the road. An hour later, they've got my ride. I don't get it! Don't you want the money? $400 dollar doc. fee, by the way. That's a helluva lot of paperwork.

Haha, there goes the whole concept of smooth and fast sales, AKA no hassle..

I don't get it..haha

sorry to hear about that wait man..

My car when I first saw it wasn't for sale, it was being held for a local radio station, coming to find out, while I was getting the numbers from John Park the salesman, which I'm still VERY good friends with, virtually family now, the radio station called and said they wanted another color, the blue one the dealer had at the port... So I lucked out :)

#5 xB sold to the public (exluding radio stations/businesses) in the Sacramento/Valley region... YAY 8)

^^or so I'm told by my dealer and others.. :D

late.

-Tylor

btw, I've heard of quite a few others that had alot of snags through this SO CALLED no hassle purchasing program they had for the Scions.....SO you're not the first ;)....if that makes you feel any better..?? lol : :?
