Default Need Advice on Subwoofer Connection.. Please Vote Inside

Hey what's up everyone, I've got a question in regards to installing my old system into my tC. Right Now I'm looking to put in my Type-R into my VSE box and using my MA Audio amp to power it. I'll have to check the fitment to be sure, but I figure if a Type-S can fit (6 1/8 mount depth), then *hopefully* my Type-R can fit (6 7/8 mount depth).

The advice I need is whether I should hook up the sub using the VSE sub connection with an RCA converter, or buy Alpman's Add-N-Amp harness and completely discard the VSE cable. I guess what I'm wondering is if the sound output/quality will sound about equal, or even which option you would choose and why.

Thanks,
Kevin
