Is there a way to remove and paint the ring of plastic that goes around the outer air vents (the ones not closest to the radio) with out removing the entire dash?

 

I was trying to figure out the same thing last night to see if I could paint them up.

 

i think that the plastic rings that your talking about dont come off its all molded together. bit every once in a while you can find chromed plastic rings that fit right over that ring one bay and you could just paint those

 

darn, well thanks for the help, ill look for those rings some time.

 

The rings are built into hte dash, i tried removing them to paint them, aint gonna happen...

 

i have a website that does that stuff, they make vinyls for those rings. this one www.rvinyl.com u can find the vinyl for those rings. they make all kinds of colors and custom colors too.

 

I bought from rvinyl.com . The vinyls wouldnt stick to my dash...not sure why....so i threw them away...guess i got a bad batch, didnt seem that sticky

 

oh. i never did try them, just saw them online, or else go to patterntek.com and send them the whole thing and tell them what you want. they have high quality pics of their work. i'm going to do my dash with them.

 

thats kinda ricey, i would reccomend staying away from doing stuff like that, because in the long run it never looks good, i work at adealership and i see plenty of that stuff , just makes it look cheesey, and not custom at all
