Or would it not get a good signal that low in the car ? tCtCtC 03-06-2007, 01:50 AM i dont have a pic, but i just used the suction cup in the middle of the windshield. The ford i ran straight through the dash to the plug next to the shifter. dont use the stupid disk it comes with to mount it on the dash, it wont stay tC_Crazy 03-06-2007, 04:03 AM My Garmin Nuvi gets signal just fine in that area. It is almost the perfect size so that I can just wedge it in there. The antenna is actually folds out 90 degrees to the unit, so I keep it in that small area, as well. It always takes a couple minutes to find sats if I haven't used it in a couple days, but then it works very reliably. I find the suction cup mount to be very unreliable, and have already had it fall 3 times, even after cleaning the windshield + cup with alcohol and letting it dry. If it works for you, however, then good luck. tCtCtC 03-07-2007, 01:09 AM ok, heres is my i5 http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s239/sciontcman/PICT0252.jpg SciontCya 03-07-2007, 01:26 AM In Cali and Minnesota, it's illegal to put them on your windshield, just an FYI. I'd never have cared until I got a lame-___ ticket for tint... I have a Nüvi 660 and use the black puck on the dash and it doesn't ruin the look, IMO. tCtCtC 03-07-2007, 01:33 AM aww man... well, now i dunno where to put it, oh well, until i get a ticket, ITS STAYIN THERE!!!! jjos1 03-07-2007, 11:35 PM Thats were I have been mounting mine, I wanted to put it some where a little closer to me maybe above the vents. SciontCya 03-08-2007, 12:08 AM Mine's in the exact center, above the vents. Perfect. |
