speechless...
lol. I like how its never actual explained how this will give you 7-22 hp gains...
Someone's going to fall for it though, its only a matter of time. The gov should really make Logic and Reasoning a required HS course. I think I might email him tommorow and ask how this works, should be an amusing coversation.

Is it just me, or does that thing look like one of the OLD SCHOOL atari controllers for the racing games?
hmm, who knew those old atari controllers could give you 7-22hp?!?
I'm going to salvation army to find one today and give it a try, come one, who's with me!!
ATARI REVOLUTION!!!

It does look like the Atari paddles, although it's missing the red buttons on each side. Honestly I should've thought about this whole speed dial thing before, I'm sure I could find my old Atari 2600 in my parents attic and put it to some use. Think of it, that's easily 100 dollars right there.......maybe I could retrofit the joystick as a quickshift kit. Oh the possibilities are endless!!!
Those devices work by adjusting the signal to the IAT sensor so that the ECU thinks that the air temperature is cooler than it actually is. What this does is it allows the ECU to advance timing, as well as other parameters which typically increases power output. Of course there are serious risks to doing this. The sensors are there for a reason and messing with them can yield disastrous results. For example, say you install this thing and your fuel maps change as well as your timing... Now you stand the increased chance of running lean, thus damaging your engine. It's a cheap way to make power but, honestly, they don't make a whole lot of power, if any at all (sometimes) and are well not worth the risk, especially if you don't know what you're doing.
Thanks,

Leaves no trace of the mod? Except of course where you had to cut/splice wires. I'm highly skeptical. I guaranty the dealer would plotz and void your warranty if they found this little experimental number spliced in.
i actually had one of those on my corolla (just wanted to see if it really did anything :D ) it did help for a while, but then the computer fixed it all and made it run normal again. when it was working i noticed a substantial loss in gas mileage. it didn't do any harm to the engine though. i had it for about 6 months, but it only worked for about a month to a month and a half.
waste of money.
