Okay i have a little problem. i have the abs dynamics x-2 lip installed and i just received a grillcraft sport grille. the middle grill goes on super easy but the bottom grille is giving me some problems. it seems the fitament of the lip isnt exactally perfect and is making the grille not fit. i know people have had this problem before, and ideas on a fit for it? i havent had a bottom grille in almost a year so im really excited but this is holding me up. thanks for all you guys do!

have u already taken the stock honeycomb grill out?

yeah its out, the problem i think is that the lip edge sticks out more towards the middle than the stock on did. i think that this is making the area for the grille to fit in smaller. i know what i just said is really confusing but i will take a picture later. thanks for the responses so far!

Even on the stock lower lip the fitment is tight....we had to redrill the middle hole twice.....we ended up just trying to make it look even on both sides. It bulges out in the middle but it doesn't go past the edge of the lip.....looks good.

might have to sand it down. which will suck. but that will prolly be your best bet. Awesome grille by the way.

yeah that might be my only option. i only hope the grille looks as good on my car as it did on the guy's that i got it from. that guy is a real cool guy!

Yeah, that's the only fittment problem with these ABS Dynamics lips. I have the X-1 on my car and have had the same problem.

I actually notched my stock grille inserts to make them fit. My Putco billet overlays barely squeaked in there.

You will need to trim either the grille or the lip for proper fittment. Decide which is easier and which is less destructive and then just do it.

Sorry I don't have a magic answer!

That pic says a lot.....ooooh hate to say it....but I would consider modifying the grill instead of the lip. plus it looks like there will be a gap on the bottom. Tough to say.

yeah this is a tough one but i will figure it out. if i end up modifying the grill, whats the best way to go about it? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

I had this issue and decided to trim the lip. Took a dremel and removed some of the lip where it needed. I did this after the lip was painted and you still couldnt tell I did it....

i think i have a solution worked out for the lower grill, i think it is going to fit but im going to have to try that later. anyways, i will keep you updated.

i ended up cutting a notch in my lower grile. i figured id rather have a cut grille than a cut lip.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with the ABS Dynamics CF X2 Front Lip?
