Default Don't let a friend drive you car... please help me out...

i let my friend drive my tc (which has hotchkis sways and new tires) and he ended up clipping a curb HARD at 40+ mph on the drivers side... the car jumped in the air and bounced...

now i hear all sorts of weird noises coming from the steering... the car doesnt pull to a certain side, but when moving in a straight line the steering wheel is tilted about 20 degrees counter clock wise and whenever you put the wheel straight, you pull to the right alot...

the steering gets really loose when you lock it to the left and it makes a whirring noise when you turn right with some speed...

i have no idea what to do... he is going to pay for new wheels and whatever needs to be done to fix the car but i dont know what the problem with the car is...

what should i check for? who should i take the car too? is this an expensive repair (besides the wheels)???

gahhhhhhhh, thanks for your help, hopefully it'll cheer me up

pretty sure it would, my tc was doing the same for awhile after i jumped a curb with my stock rims, and when i would drive it was shakey and pulling to the left, took it in for an alignment and it was all better

I would say alignment and maybe worst case they have to rebalance the tire and that's no big.

Get it aligned. If there's more involved, the tech/mechanic should let you know the damages.

P.S. Don't let others drive your car!!

True story
If the wheel isn't straight, it may be the control arms. If its making a lot of noise it may be the bearings in the hub.

I hit a curb dead on going 50 mph, and i messed up EVERYTHING. the wheel was vent so bad it wouldnt even turn. sucked. But hopefully you just need an alignment.
