I just got my manifold and downpipe ceramic coated and it makes it look SOOOO much better

where are you guys finding places to do powdercoating? online and you ship the parts out or something like the yellow pages?

 

Yeah I'm not used to seeing charge piping routed like that

 

I searched www.whitepages.com and in the category, put "power coating" and put in my zip code and it gave me a list of like 10 different powder coating shops in my area. I called a few to get the best price and dropped off the pipes.

That’s Jet-Hot Sterling Extreme right? If so, that’s only good for 1400 degrees shine wise and 1700 before it burns off. A friend of mine coated his manifold with a normal 1200 degree coating, burned off in one month.

 

It's not Jet Hot at all. It's a high-temp traditional cermaic coating that holds up to 1500. My car is only driven 3-5 times a month and not for prolonged periods of time - so I'm not worried about the shine fading or burning off.

 

Yea - my jethot on my header ....the shine went away very very fast. I was suprised because it looked so nice out of the box ....now it just looks grey.

 

Driving a turbo charged tc only 3-5 times a month would kill me.

 

even if it was turbo'd, i wouldnt want to drive hers.... chipping the paint, scraping the widebody... EEEEKKKKKK!

 

Which is exactly why it is only driven to and from shows. Occasionally I'll take her out for a joy ride, though. The paint, kit, and wheels alone are enough to bankrupt me if something happened to them. LoL.
