Alright, i gotta have my fellow Scion owners opinions, which console do you guys think is going to be a top seller, and come out on top??? Xbox 360 OR Playstation 3

My vote is going to Xbox 360, unless Sony does something to the PS3 to make it cheaper, and better games, i dont think they can pull it off... I went to EB games today and my friend showed me their back storage room and they have 67 Playstation 3's and only 16 Xbox 360's... What does that tell ya? :lalala:

The advantage of the PS3 is that it will play Sony Blue Ray HD DVDs. They are basically selling the unit below cost at this point. Xbox has come out with a add on HD DVD player that plays the Toshiba HD DVD format. Yes--it is the old Beta vs. VHS battle again for those old enough to remember. Anyway--I will tell you that the PS3s are not selling that well right now due to the steep price.

i don't even consider the ps3 as really out yet. yes the games sucka phatty, but so do the ones for 360, but remember the first year of ps2? second year was when it shined.

the reason why i think 360 is so poor, they rely on 3 things(just like xbox1):
halo, car games, sport games, none of which interest me all that much.

first person shooters should be played on pc.
car games? i enjoyed gt2 for the ps1, but all the games since have only improved marginally.
sports games? any decent one will be on both systems.

for me gameplay>graphics

and i want to play the next sequel to god of war, war of the monsters, really sony has some great exclusives. I can't say that about microsoft.

one more word: gta4.

xbox 360 for sure. at my local best buy they have less 360s on the floor than ps3s and I'm pretty sure that alone is proof lol

Even though i voted for PS3, its still too early to determine much for the PS3. Theres such a low amount of games available for it now and there are still various features fo the system still being updated monthly, that i'm sure, given some time, the PS3 will shine like it was meant to shine. :P

And the pice will drop we can all hope....

btw, GTA4 will be on both systems, I voted for the 360....Better online service will win..yes you do pay, but that means your getting quality....And the achievements add life to the game.

I love my 360. My original xbox (modded with chip & 160 gig hd, but thats besides the point :love: ) will always hold a special spot in my heart. Very good memories of Halo Parties.

However, I think the Wii is going to be a huge seller this generation though. I think the 360 has a good head start, and I just dont see the PS3 winning this generation.They pretty much lost all the exclusive titles that they had in the PS1, PS2 days.

Mark my words, the Wii is a force to be reckoned with.

ps3 is gonna SUCK online, if it already doesnt! i had my ps2 online and that was a lagtacular lagfest of lag if there ever was one! how can they fix that? idk.... wii is AIGHT, fun, but not intense.

i can see final fantasy going over, but there is no way metal gear is coming over to 360. Lucky for PS3 guys you get a new ninja gaiden in a few months. lucky you, lol

I own a PS3. I have to say, it makes a great dust collector for $599, now if I can find a $600 Sony dust buster to accomodate it :pray: . All the games released so far are not in my taste, hopefully within this year a few will come through. The blue-ray is pretty much what I use the unit for, pretty kick a$$ if you ask me as I look for picture quality in movie viewing. I know its not in the poll, but the nintendo "Wii" is coming up strong, great unit for all ages in the family!

i have both consoles. i love the Final Fantasy series and tekken series. but halo, gears of war, forza, and morrowind are much better games.
ive played my ps3 for a few hrs max; and most of it was playing ps2 games!
my 360 is almost always on in my free time.
360 all the way.

that doesnt tell u too much of anything ps3 ships out more thand 360 360 doesnt ship much cause they are already in the market pretty good.

wow the ps3 has already been out for 6 months and yall expect it to be topnotch yall gotta be kidding me. 360 wasnt too good when it first launched. dont make me remind yall. nor was the ps2 but when it got to rollin it was doin really good for itself. and the wii my god i hate that lil think its not next gen. it doesnt have nearly the graphics of the ps3 or the 360. in my opinion you 360 people need to wait before yall write the ps3 off ___ a loser.

for me ps2 was easily the choice, and i had thought that would translate into me wanting the ps3, but it seems not. sucks.
this is the way i've always looked at it:
sports(which don't interest me) = xbox
car racing(which again don't interest me, if you've played gt2 for the old ps1, everything else is just marginally better) = xbox

first person shooter, puzzle = pc
action, adventure, multiplayer = ps2

now, nobody seems to be spending time making good action adventure or multiplayer games anymore.

most would disagree. why not buy the Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Its on the 360, Ps3, and PC and its a great game.
Good multiplayer games are GRAW, Gears of War, and Halo 2 Vista comes out soon.

Isn't Elder Scrolls a RPG? I don't consider RPGs to be adventure. I could be wrong, but I thought that RPGs were really slow. I never played a RPG before/after FF7, so I could be wrong.

To play Halo 2 on PC, would be too expensive, slightly better graphics, and you need to buy Vista, probably a better video card, and probably more ram. You would be better off buying a xbox or xbox 360 and just buying Halo 2. At least, thats what I would do. GOW is fun, so is Advanced Warfighter. I had a huge Halo 2 party on Saturday, it was awesome.

elder scrolls is an rpg. I've always considered "adventure" to be the genre "platformer/action-adventure", like god of war, or onimusha, or even gta.

onimusha 2 is about as on the edge of being rpg/action-adventure as i'd want to dip in rpg territory, with games like jade empire and knightsoftheoldrepublic leaning more rpg.

I got in on the Crackdown Beta thinggy. I dont play much Halo on Live. My gamertag is thebumblebeeman, but I dont have high speed at the new place. Yet. Working on that.

I do have to work saturday, and Im going to be the senior person there, so I may put my VGA connector to good use.

Heres my thoughts:
The Wii is God right now. It has the innovation, but not the games yet, but with mario party 8 coming out tomorrow, that will change.

The PS3 isnt even on the map right now, maybe ONE good game right now. Just like the PS2, wait until the 2nd year after its release to see it shine.

The Xbox360 has some great games out, and it has great online play right now.

all in all:

all 3 systems have their ups, and obviously their downs, we are just waiting for the killer apps to really judge.

sales right now are all for the Wii, my friends say they are still hard to find. Suckers, should have been in line at best buy at 6 in the mornin....u snooze u lose suckas!
