Kumho Street Warriorz show series?
My company is looking at possibly sponsoring this event and is looking for more feedback from others as to what they think of the event. Would you say its more for show or more for racing? Any feedback would be appreciated
yeah, sorry, I just looked it up on streetwarriorz.com (note the "Z" lol) and it said:
“These ‘no rules’ events incorporate the lifestyle of the street racing scene, with burn-out, stereo and bikini contests adding to the festivities."
Sounds like more show than any kind of go to me, any car scene that has a bikini contest and a burnout competition just lost my admission. (Please note, I love me some women in bikini's, but a bikini contest is a copout contest at a car event)
If your company is MTX Audio, I would say there is a market to be had there, and from the way MTX promotes itself, what with "LL Bling Daddy" link right on the index home page, it would fit right in.
Oh, and just to validate my drift competition assumption before I even knew anything about it, streetwarriorz.com (note, said "Z") has a small clippette on the bottom of their homepage noting that one of their first events, they had a drift team not otherwise associated with "Street Warriorz" come in and show some stuff.

in lau of the response given, i offer hyperfest as an exception to that rule, they have a bikini and daisy dukes contest but is definitely not as much of a show as it is a racing weekend for NASA members.
That being said there is a show field and drift comp at hyper fest too, along with 11 class races on 2 days.
I am not familiar with the warriorz (come out and plllllaaay though)

i've been the new englandragway event ones. its street legal vehicles all makes and models so you have imports and domestics. muscle cars and tuner cars. its pretty much an open run for both sides to see what we both have in common i guess. since the show entails both as does the racing.
its all a matter of who your trying gear your sales pitch to more. import owners, domestic owners, or just plain car guys.
