Anybody else have this happen to them?
In the last 3 days while driving at night, I've noticed oncoming traffic has flashed their headlights at me. Usually around here that means either you have your hi-beams on or there is a cop taking radar nearby. Well this has happened to me 5 times in the last 3 nights and it was neither of those. I am 100% positive that my hi-beams weren't on(I rarely use them). Could it be that the stock lights and fogs are so incredibly bright that oncoming traffic thinks theyre hi-beams? Anybody else have this happen?
i have this happen usually at least once every time i drive at night. I have the fog lights too, and when you have your low beams and fog lights on, it definately would seem alot brighter than alot of the cars on the road, even without an HID kit!
I've had this happen to me several time recently - lowbeams on, stock bulbs, I even made sure they were aimed right. Chalk it to people being retarded. Flashing them with your highbeams so they know the difference will give you a small measure of satisfaction.

yea i lowered my beam a couple notches when i did the 9005 silverstar mod into my low beams. I get alot more light on the road now. If you do lower it, dont do it too much.
lol, you dont want your lights to blind people.. HIDs in the stock housings are fine but aim them lower, maybe when your bulbs where put in they were adjusted up for some reason, or they came adjusted too high from the dealership...
I have 10k HIDs and yellow HID fogs which are both bright as hell, but they both shine down on the road. I have to croutch down to really see them. I guess it also helps to be lowered two inches on stechs..

I have HIDs and I've never been flashed once. Well, I did lower my beam a few notches. Maybe if you lower yours, that may help. If they still flash you, then they're just be retarded and actually look straight into the headlight. (Kinda like looking into the sun)
well where i drive everynight the roads are extreamly dark at night and i can see GREAT with them the way they are
there is just one 2 lane road that i drive one everynight and thats when i get flashed...i think its just because im so close to the oncoming car

our lights are aimed too high..
btw did you know in england, cars have a dimmer switch looking thing that raises and lowers the angle of your lights instantly?
if you are bipping around town you point them down, if you are out in the boonies you would point them up higher to see farther.
