Im not really liking either of them but, I say get the Nitto ones....The thread design on the Fuzion's suck....If i were you i would get the bridgestones g-force kdw tires.....but i know that money is a factor, so i say go with Nitto

I have Neo Gen's...I love the tread design, and they're not too bad on price....you get what you pay for!!

Of those two choices, I'd go with Nitto.

I have the Nitto's -- plenty of grip for "spirited" driving

um. toyo proxes 4 will kick the nitto's @ss any day. dry, rain, and snow. follow that up with kuhmo asx's if you wanna go budget. the zri's should never have been under consideration...they just suck. the neogens are alright, but there's better for the money. check out avon tech m550 a/s, pirelli pzero nero m&s, BFg kdw's. my top 2 choices would be the proxes followed by the avon tech's. then the pirellis, then kuhmo, then BFg, then neo gen. there's better for the money dude. pm me if you need more help...i'm kind of a tire guru.

o also, i have BFg kdw's myself......i made the mistake of buying the tire based off the tread design. i should've gone with the proxes 4's....that was my other option and its a mistake i deeply regret now. the kdw's have absolutely zero traction in the snow, and they still slide a tiny bit in the rain. but i can tell you a year down the road....it doesnt matter what the tread looks like....cause nobody's gonna see it. i dont even look at it anymore and i havent for 9 months now. stupidest thing i've done to the car so far. get the proxes, even if you gotta dish out an extra 100 or so. you'll thank yourself later on.

If cost is a factor, maybe you can consider Federal SS595, it's a good tire.

Out of the two tires, definetly get the Nitto. I have heard some pretty bad things about the Fuzion.

wow the fuzion is definitely not better than the neo gen. im shocked they told you that. remember, the only thing connecting you to the ground when you're driving are your tires! dont skimp on them, and trust the ratings.....head over to tirerack and check out the surveys. the fuzions suck...you'll see it there man.

Maybe they told you that because their profit margin is greater on the fuzion. That's being dishonest with you, the customer, but it's also a very common business practice.

Sorry, there are WAAYYY better tires for that kind of money.

General Exclaim UHP - Runs $92 or less per tire in the 17-inch sizes.

Kumho Ecsta SPT -- About the same

Fuzion ZRi -- Better performance than HRi, same price. I had these for quite a while, and they were pretty good. Not amazing, but quite good.

Sumitomo HTR Z III --- same price, but the best performing tire on this list. I would have gone with these, but I decided to drop more cash on some SERIOUS tires... well, well worth it.

----- There are others, just ask me. But as a final piece of advice... And I'm sure the Mods are going to hate me, but I really want to get a message across...

I'm looking for all-seasons.. I live in Buffalo NY and have ONE MORE WINTER left, so that's something to consider. I don't need the best snow traction but something to get me through this last winter safely, cuz I'm headed to Atlanta by summertime. I'd like to get more than 20k mile life

Considering I may trade my car in in the next year, what would you recommend? (cost-effective)

If you must go all-season... (prices based on stock 215/45-17 size)

Goodyear Eagle F1 All-season. $114 each. (Best performance)
Yoko - AVID W4S - $98 each. (Best bang-for-buck)
BFG - gForce SS A/S - $115 each (Compare to goodyear)

The HRi would be fine as well.

I could recommend others that are better, but I'm sticking as close to the $100/tire range as I can. You may want to consider other reviews before purchase, since I don't buy all seasons usually.

I really don't see anything much cheaper that I'd trust my life to.
