just noticed something thinking about the new rs series, the rs1 is red, the rs2 is blue, and the rs3 is white? they are the colors of the american flag, which is kind of fitting considering that they are only sold in the us. kinda neat?

i have also decided that i am going to refer to my tc as an rs0 or release series zero because as i think of it, they only made silver streak mica tc's for the 2005 model year and then the closest color availiable was classic silver metallic. also, all the commercials for the scion tc started with a silver streak mica tc. so now everybody can envy ssm tc's even more than they already do!

but as for SSM as RS0, i dont think that would fly because the RS series are limited to 2600 units, and I see a ton of SSM's around here. and no i am not mistaken, they arent CSM, they are SSM.

if you called yours an RS0 around someone educated on scions i think they would give you the look? maybe also a or a

 

well, i'm the first to admit that i'm a loser, but i am pretty far from ignorant about scions. i was just thinking it would be a nice original tasteful theme for my tc.

i mean, everybody likes coming up with an original theme for their scion, and i was thinking that i could do a prototype concept theme. so don't dump all over my idea to make my tc alittle more unique.

besides, every tc owner out there is like
"oh man, fm tc look the best!"
"noway dude, bsm tc are where it's at!"

well i am putting a feather in the hat of silver streak mica owners out there that all together there will be fewer ssm tc than other color tc's.

i'm not going to put fake rs badges on it, or buy some ripped off ebay rs grilles or body parts, i'm just going to be even more proud of my tc.

well, i was thinking about the names of the gundams. like gundam zero 1 or whatever, sounds cool. so i was thinking it might be cool and unique to make mine a scion tc rs zero.

the super secret ultra cool prototype from which all others were based upon.

i know i am not the most original, bold cutting edge scion owner, but but when i thought about this, i thought it might was a good idea.

thanks. now i'm scared that if i start this theme, maybe have a cool "RS ZERO" badge made for my tc, i'll end up in the "spot the rice and taters" thread ofcourse, nobody has spotted me yet in my tc and i probably am among the highest mileage tc's in my area, 38k since 11/04.

i see a few silver, but mostely white, bsp, fm, and a few azure pearl and then some nautical blue or rs 2's.

 

Technically 0 is the first number sequentially...not 1. I've actually had a textbook that started with Chapter 0...

 

SSM's are no longer in production that makes us exclusiver. SSM FTW.

 

RS's have other special features... not just the paint. Discontinued paint doesn't mean much.

that is what makes it an rs zero, it is a prototype, is it didn't have those unique features, cept for the ones i have made to mine.
i mean, all the rs series are is a scion with a number, different grill, wheels, etc. i can put all that on my tc, and plan to after the turbo is done.

 

i can understand your desire to differentiate your tC from all the newer ones. i have an '05 ssm, which i picked up august 11, 2004. it was a wednesday. anyway, i was one of the first few tC owners in town, and now that they're everywhere i feel a bit lost in the crowd. then i remember the (somewhat) unique mods i've done, and i feel better. the point is that yes, you jumped on the wagon when it was fairly small, but nobody cares except you and i. no one would understand the rs zero thing. as a fellow ssm owner my opinion is that it's a bad idea. just keep up the modding and keep it tasteful.
