black one - speed bumps, anyone? heck...forget the speed bumps....a slight dip in the road would leave you suspended...road pebbles would toss the car into an endo...it is very suitable for rail way travel tho. :P Yes...I'm jealous.

blue and white - I've always felt the BB/XB screamed for two-tone. I love the way it wraps over the hood. I like mine a little cleaner tho.

The rims on the black one remind me of a 17" chrome wheel and tire package I saw for $749. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38662&item=2446600768
(don't worry, I know there's no real comparison).

Ahhh, to import a Bb....

Some more info on the black bB:

It's the 4WD1500S X version (first gen bB manufactured in 1999)
It's has air suspension.
It has 17,398 miles on it.

OK, OK...i shoulda guessed. I mean, who's gonna really ride a car on the ground?

So it pulls into a lot full of people and the crowd kinda gathers round as it comes to a stop..."whoaaaaaaaaa...." they say...
Then it drops...pijjjjuuuu, the crowd backs off again stunned.
"WHOAAAAAA!!"

I wanna make that kinda enterance. How much is shipping?

Unfortunately, most people selling on yahoo auctions (japan) *only* ship within Japan. Once in a while you'll see someone who's willing to ship something internationally, but good luck finding someone who will ship a bB!

I don't even know how I managed to setup a yahoo japan account. I can't even read japanese and the translators only work so well.

not to mention the import tarrifs, and emissions tests and certification , and the actual shipping ... that 14k turns into 22-24k .... bah hahahaha ... it'd so be worth it

Ummm, why don't ya'll just use all that money and buy an xB and turn it into one of these bBs?!?!? Makes more sense to me. I think it would be a pain in the a** to buy those bBs.

I think the only time it makes sense to import a whole JDM car is if it's something that isn't already in one form or another over here. But if it's a car that's already available in the US, then it sorta makes no real sense to pay so much more to get a JDM car over just to end up with something that will be a hassle to drive around daily (trust me on this one) and an even bigger hassle to register (trust me on this one, too!!). In the case of the Scions, the USDM versions are sooooo much like their JDM counterparts, that there really is no reason to import a bB or ist...instead, if you find a car set up the way you like in Japan, you can easily duplicate it over here!

I guess the buyer pays for shipping and not the seller. Is there a payment option for the shipping? Those things look so cool, but are they auto or stick? I am so feelin the black one.

I have two happy xB customers driving around the LA area with them right now. I can actually get them in about 5-7 days via air shipment.

I'm sure the price will come down once someone over here starts importing them in bulk, but on a case by case basis that is what it costs. I don't blame ya!
