Do any of you find yourselves doing stuff like this? When we pull into any parking lot and see another Scion vehicle, we will park next to or as close as possible to them. One, to check out their Scion. Two, I guess hoping they will spot our xA when leaving and notice the SL advertisement all over it.

Just last week we were coming off of a side street onto 82nd. It just happened to be around rush hour. Traffic was backed up and nobody was going to let us in. It felt like we were sitting there forever. Until...this lady came along in her Salsa xA and promptly stopped. We pulled out and kindly waved, thanking her. Hopefully she noticed the SL license plate frame.

Since then we have started to wave at every Scion that passes by. We have never had this much fun with a vehicle before.

 

Someone parked right next to me this evening while the wife and I were at dinner. But I try to do the same.

 

Yep, if im pulling into a spot and i see a Scion i will almost always park near it.

I parked in the Bestbuy parking lot on 82nd just last week, near 1 tC, i came out of bestbuy and there were 3 tC's in a row. It was kinda cool! Im guessing atleast one of them works in bestbuy.

 

Whenever I park somewhere close to another Scion I always wonder if the people will be as excited as I am to have our cars in close proximity. (I think the cars are happy anyway. ) I wonder if I had some ScionLife fliers to tuck under windshield wipers..... but then I know that would be littering most of the time so I don't do it. And short of stalking people.....

I feel lame sometimes though. I'll purposely park next to other scions, or look at them on the freeway. We parked the other day next to "boxyldy" in everett. Not everyone gets it though, to some, they could care less if we have the same awesome car

i do that all the time lol
whenever i go somewhere and i see a scion parked in the parking lot, i always park next to it.
and when im in traffic, i always let scions in.
They should have SL fliers that say "You've been Spotted!..."yada yada, lol.

 

Yes, I park near other Scions, lol. And like Annie, I wonder if they're as excited as I am at all, too.

The only fliers I have are SE ones. They don't say "ScionLife" on it anywhere! I almost ordered the free 250 business cards from Vistaprint the other day but laziness and the lack of a credit card within my lazy proximity, prevented me from purchasing them (all you pay is like $5 S&H).

 

Glad to hear others do the same.

Some people probably don't get it and could care less but I guess we figured it's just all in fun. If they get it they will do the same back. If they don't, well they don't know us and we all go on our merry way.

 

I like to park my box next to a tC and hope that an xA will be there when I return.

 

I don't park next to anyone. I keep my box as far away to prevent any accidents to my doors. I will sometimes whenever possible park within a viewable distance of another Scion while keeping the box safe from other careless people and those pesky stray shopping carts. I usually park on the very end of the row, half way in the parking spot and half in the yellow striped area when I cannot find anywhere else.

 

i sometimes park next to scions if there is room but lately ive been finding myself parking in the back taking up two parking spots...maybe im just weird. i always wave but i get a lot of stoned looks i guess they just dont understand..someone with good graphics skills should make a printable flyer with SL info on it so we all can put it on peoeples car!

 

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start waving to people again as I had gotten pretty lax at it with the influx of Scions over the past few months.

I've been doing it with pride and have my passengers trained as well!!!

I love to park next to other ones in any parking lot. Like making my own little meet & greet. I am also so excited to have TA flyers for the M&G schedule as I've been putting those on cars in my area. I hope we see new people at the M&Gs!!!

 

I definitely do this regularly. When driving on the freeway, I like to get as close to other boxes as I can (lovingly, not dangerously) and hope they get the idea. I recall one awesome afternoon on the 84, two boxes passed by me and I jump right in behind them. It was just glorious.

Did anyone here make it to the rockfest over the summer, where they had the Scion VIP parking? It was so awesome to see so many lined up next to each other. There was so much creativity packed into that little square of parking lot. I wish I had my camera on me that day.

 

I have several of the small freebie SL stickers and thought about putting them under the wipers of other Scions I see parked. But figured they would probably end up on the ground. Wouldn't want to litter and I could probably find a better use for them. It would be cool to have something to give other Scion owners you encounter. To inform them of SL and everything associated with it.

We will be at the M&G in Vancouver tomorrow. Our first one! So excited! Glad it stopped raining, I got the car washed so it will look nice on Saturday. Looking forward to meeting some of you and seeing your xA's, xB's and tC's. I'm still trying to talk my wife into getting a xB down the road when we are ready to trade off the second car. She has been set on a Jeep Wrangler...but that is slowly shifting. Maybe seeing all of your xB's will help.

We will also be stopping by the March Reign Import Car Show in Gresham next weekend. Where we first met our xA.

The TA flyers have the M&G schedule but our team meetings start times which are 1/2 hour before the open meets listed on SL. Do you want that flyer?

Spreading the love in other ways. I was able to help out a fellow Scion owner last Friday.

We decided to sell our stock tires and wheels. They were just taking up needed storage space so we put them on Craigslist to try and sell. They were practically brand new but I listed them at a very reasonable price, just to get rid of them. Even though they will fit many different cars the first person to respond was this guy who owned an xB. Just so happened his wife had hit a curb really bad with their xB and had trashed the tire and bent the rim. He thought it was a really great deal.

So they got a great deal on a set of tires and wheels and we got our storage closet back and cash in hand! Win Win!!

The wife says the money from the tires and wheels should go towards stuff for the xA. I couldn't agree with her more!

i like to spread the love beyond the boundaries of the scion community... i like to help people who own honda civics reallize that there cars are junk as i blow by them on the highway... i also like to taunt highschool kids with otherwise crappy cars until there g/f's laugh at them... see... its all in how you spread the love.

I do it too. Infact, on my first day of work I noticed an xA parked.. didn't leave a note or anything. That was last week. Then today when I got off work, I dropped my hot pocket on the ground, almost ran into a lady with a cart.. got to my car and saw that same xA was parked right next to mine. :D And as I was getting in, she was like, "*points to her own car* That one's mine." I was kinda shocked cause normally xA owners (that are not part of SL) are like, "wtf is wrong with you, why are you waving or trying to ask me how I like my car".. so I didn't know what to say! Next time I will inform her of SL.
