I'll be starting after next Wednesday the 28th of March, so check me out at Koons Tysons in Virginia and ask for DONG KIM.

Welcome back to the business. I remember Koons when I lived in Fairfax. Good luck and sell lots of Scions. Remember, it is what it is - Pure Pricing.

Make sure you don't lead people on;

"Oh yeah, your car will be delivered in about a month"

One month passes....

"Oh yeah, your cars in customs, it'll be here in two weeks"

Two weeks pass

"Oh yeah, sorry, your car just got shipped from Japan, it'll be here in a month"

One month passes....

"Hey, your car came in at the port finally but it's the wrong color but they're going to install the options you ordered anyways. Hope that's ok, It'll be here in two weeks"

Two weeks pass

"Hi there, I'm glad you could come in at 7 on a Sunday to pickup your car. Sorry to call you in. Just some paperwork and financing we need you to re-sign. Turns out you don't qualify for that low loan rate we quoted you, sorry. Hey, what's that gun for?" BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM

Thanks, i'll definitely needed since I was gone for awhile. Pure is what I liked about selling Scions. It's now funny how I had one or two customer while back when I tried to tell them about "Pure Pricing", they didn't believe me and of course it was new. It's would be a dream if every customer believed what I tell them.

This is the age of the Internet and if I lie to a customer I totally lose my credentials. Anyways, you all smart folks know that Scions are not a money maker for the stealership. The big money makers actually start with cars that have all the bells and the whistles about where a Camry V6 is at and up.

The national average for selling a car is between $300 - $400. And just to let you know Yaris, Scion, Corolla, Matrix, and a Camry LE is not the money maker for the dealership. Scion, worst of all is in the lower spectrum of the rainbow.

Been only in the business for 10 months and Scion customers are different. Just gotta make sure you're up front with them, disclose everything in black and white and get the car and accessories they want/need. Sell lots of accessories - it's where your money is.

I guess you past experience with your dealership was exciting.

I've sold Scion since March 04 to June 05, owned two boxes, and never lead a guest on to anything.

Just to let you now what I know how the ordering process goes for a Scion is. Yes it usually takes about 30 days, give or take a week.

This 2007 and Scion has been out since 2003 in CA of course and 2004, introduced everywhere else. Scions in general are shipped in mass quantities and stored at the designated port, it's like a huge parking lot. They are all bare bone, except for side airbags and anything else that the port cannot install. The port that i'm mentioning is like a distribution center just like what Wal-Mart has. Anyways, as soon as a manager or the person who does the DXs preferences what you want on your Scion. They will usually find one to add all the bells and the whistles and if they can't find the manual color flint mica because that was the most popular color of my time, they will try to swap the allocation with another dealership before it leaves to the designated dealerships.

So it's a rare instance that they have to wait for the next boat to make a delivery. And yeah, don't think you're Scion was made to order from Japan.

From port to dealership is about two weeks and that's no lie, I can confirm with what your dealership said.

Here's the thing, Salespeople don't get paid until you drive off of the lot. So think, why would he sit on his/her ****. We are not salaried, and in the end is a full commission, there is no free lunch at a dealership, we even pay for our uniforms, auto sales license which is $75 for the state of VA.

If I was in your shoes I would have asked for my deposit back and called every Scion dealership in a two hour drive radius. Hey no one is putting a gun to your head and sign the darn contract. You could have told them i'll find my own financing unless you credit wasn't that good. Hey you know the financing rates are posted just like the car, "Pure Pricing". If you know your credit score, you can check it out for yourself which tier you are in I think there's four tiers.

Please do more research before you feel that you're getting screwed or actually getting screwed.

Anyways I treat my customers accordingly and you all should do the same.

You're very correct about the accessories part, that's where all the car makers profit. For you Toyota, you would call it a package as well, . Then you get a customer who wants only the base model and won't budge.

I see myself as a an owner of a Korean BBQ take-out doing a lunch special for $5.95, I make money by selling in a large volume (16-20 cars a month), then to sell 10 - 12 cars with a high profit (McDonalds).

You can get fresh tasty BBQ for the same price a value meal.

Repeat and referrals

Tell me about it, I went to shop for a Nissan Sentra five years ago and the salesperson did not know if the car had a dual overhead cam.

First off, i'm a car enthusiast and I usually know more than my customers. I enjoy turning the wrench, but not as a living since i'm not good enough to work at a custom shop.

I personally think most of the accessories for Scion is a waste of your money, including the tc's floor mat.

If you want a spoiler or the ground effects kits for the tc, I would recommend you to have it done when your make the purchase.

Good luck with your future purchase and feel free to ask me about any questions about the Scions.

Is this a trick question? The retail price for a Scion Tc Supercharger is $3,200, it's posted here under the parts section and you can google it as well. The supercharger wasn't out when I was selling Scions. I left Browns Toyota in Charlottesville, Virginia first week of July 2005, so I have no idea how much it is.

But here's the thing, I rarely pay retail for aftermarket car parts, so I checked my sources online and found a SC for a Tc for $2975.00. But again, I will be officially selling Toyotas/Scions on the 29th of this month and I can get 10% above the wholesale price.

And finally, since i'm sort of lazy, if I wanted to buy it at wholesale, I would just register for a small business license and purchase it online at wholesale, but I don't really spend that much money on car parts, so it's not worth 10% above cost.

I treat my customers the same well I would like to be treated and guess what I like being hooked-up big time, cuz it's nice to have the connections.
