Ive been asking the same question to myself too adizman. Every place I see, those things say CARB Exempt, but nothing on there website. I am planning to get one too. The that is the case, I will purchase one right away.

This is ABSOULTELY NOT TRUE!

I just double checked the ARB database to make sure nothing has changed in the last couple weeks.

Just because a kit comes from Greddy, doesn't mean it has a CARB E/O number. And it really doesn't mean anything just because some know nothing salesman at a shop or online says it is.

I spoke with a couple different representatives from Greddy personally at SEMA last year. The first guy was absolutely clueless. The second guy was more knowledgable. And all he could say is that there had been discussion, and it was a good possibility that they would pursue a CARB exemption for the xB turbo kit. When I asked him about the supercharger he said that it wasn't even being considered.

So before you go spouting off "facts" that could end up costing someone thousands of dollars, please make sure you KNOW them to be true.

If you are interested in a kit from Greddy and are located in California, your best bet is to call Greddy directly. Tell them you want a CARB legal kit. They don't have one, but if enough people call and bug them about it there is a greater liklihood they will pursue it.

Until then, forget forced induction, or be prepared for the consequences of being illegal.
