is the drop in filter the same for the 07s ?

i have one in my 07, fit fine, i dont rememebr the part number, i just went to advance auto parts and looked it up in their book and they didnt have any in stock so i went home and got online and found a good price for it. ill check my emails and see if i can find it

it truly does, but replace the air intake tube that goes in the fender, it's really restricted. you can also take out the carbon filter so it breaths better. it sounds better when you press on the gas, then i bought the c.a.i.

did u guys notiice any type of performance differnce with the k and n filter?
i was going to go with the CAI but with all the crackdowns on intakes out here in so.cal im not going to chance buying the injen without the carb sticker...also the CAI looks like a _____ to install...

when you take out your filter you will see the carbon filter, i just ripped mine out. maybe you could try the GFI intake, thats the one im running, its kind of a "biscuit" to put together but it looks nice

i was going to go with the CAI but with all the crackdowns on intakes out here in so.cal im not going to chance buying the injen without the carb sticker...also the CAI looks like a biscuit to install... cai is very easy install, carbon filter is above filter housing and i bought the stuff at lowes. they had a black rubber pipe that fit right in the hole perfect then i used flex tube over it and ran it to the front bumper vent so it got the air from out side. im here in so cal also i know what you mean.

cai is a VERY easy install.....if you know what your doing. as long as you dont try to take your bumper off to install it....you want have trouble lol

taking off the bumper was easier than putting together my GFI lol.

Stick with a quality paper filter.
Internet research has provided evidence of K&N filters allowing more dirt through than paper does.

This is due to the concept that increased air flow, will yield increased dirt ingestion. This phenomenon is evident in Used Oil Analysis results that show increased particles such as silicon when K&N filters are used.
